Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is not something someone could inadvertently commit. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the conscious, deliberate act of attributing the work of God to demons. A perfect illustration of this is Matthew 12:22-32, where the Pharisees were so unwilling to admit that Jesus was the Messiah, so unwilling to acknowledge God's purpose and presence in Jesus, that they called the work of God to be the work of Satan. The Pharisees' hearts were absolutely hardened--and they hadn't gotten to that point overnight. They were so intent on following their own way and refusing to acknowledge God's way that their rejection of Him ultimately brought the Pharisees to the point of no return, as they were willing to blaspheme the Holy Spirit:

22Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23All the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"

24But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub,[d] the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons."

25Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

29"Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house.

30"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. 31And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

No it is not. The unforgivable sin is to go to church, be baptized in the holy spirit, while learning God's word and then walk away from church saying that I do not believe no more. That is blasphemy of the holy spirit. That is worse than anything else.

No one inadvertantly commits blasphemy. That is like saying I inadvertantly committed premeditated murder. Claiming that the god of the o.t. is righteous and holy is an example of blasphemy because it attributes the evil acts of satan to God. How can the bible say that no man has seen God at any time and that Moses talked with him face to face? Someone is not telling the truth here and I wouldn't bet against God if I were you.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is refusing to get carry of Jesus as your Savior and demise in that situation. additionally, it particularly is attributing the miracles of Jesus to devil. that's what the Pharisees did-they stated Jesus drove out demons with the aid of devil's capability. Denying the deity of Jesus sends one to hell. a million John 2:22: "who's the liar? that's the guy who denies that Jesus is the Christ. any such man or woman is the anti-christ-he denies the daddy and the Son. no man or woman who denies the Son has the daddy; whoever recognizes the Son has the daddy additionally. while Jesus finished the miracle of the dumb and demoniac guy, therapeutic him, the Pharisees who hated Him while listening to of this merciful act stated: "This guy casts out devils basically via Beelzebub." Jesus' respond replaced into that He did that act interior the path of the capability of the Holy Spirit. He stated, " And so I permit you comprehend, all people of guys's sins and blasphemies would be forgiven, yet blasphemy against the Spirit is in simple terms not forgiven, permit all of us talk against the Holy Spirit and he won't be forgiven the two in this worldwide or interior the subsequent." And in St Mark's gospel, "I permit you comprehend solemnly, all men's sins would be forgiven, and all their blasphemies; yet permit all of us blaspheme the Holy Spirit and he will in no way have forgiveness: he's in command of an eternal sin." This replaced into with the aid of fact they have been announcing: "An unclean spirit is in him." "it is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit: attributing the works of the Holy Spirit to devil". in case you deny that miracles are for right this moment, and somebody is healed with the aid of God, and you're saying it particularly is a counterfeit miracle finished with the aid of devil you're blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
