Isn't everyone thankful for all the beautiful variety of religions, spirituality and beliefs?
Or do you really wish (hopelessly I might add) that everyone believed and thought basically the same as you?

Would someone mind explaining what God is?

As a non-religious person I believe that the nature of God is not to be understood.

It's certainly one of the parts of Buddhism I have the most trouble with. Does Buddhism teach a belief in a 'soul'? If so, I don't see where it differs from other 'religions'. If it was just a philosophy, I could understand and believe in it.

I am curious what others think of this tipping etiqutte question. I work for tips and have no problem offering to anybody that I make less than minimum wage. However, I have often found myself in restuarants and thinking to myself, I wonder how much the waiter/tress makes an hour.(I have never actually asked someone) Not that it would make a big difference in the tip, but it just seems like anybody who expects a tip as part of their job should be willing to reveal their wage.

So it's been a few years since you finished with high-school. Maybe you went to college, maybe you didn't, it really doesn't matter. What I'm wondering is, are your interests pretty much the same? Do you feel any different than what you did back then?

The bad news is that you may have had to do overcome it alone without the support of family or friends.

The good news is that God never sends us into any situation alone or with plans to fail, for the bible teaches us:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD..." -- Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIV

What was the outcome when you trusted in yourself?

What was the outcome when you trusted in God?

Thank you in advance for your responses....

I am a big fan of "the Girls Next Door." I've taped almost every episode and would like to live the Playboy lifestyle so I was wondering could I have three women like Hef if I converted to Mormonism? I really enjoy women and believe that God made them to be loved!

Does the Book of mormon reference these or is it more like just a religious ritual type thing that isn't directly reference in the book?

btw-i know some mormons don't like public discussions about the garments, but I'm just curious--i hope i haven't offended anyone.

i know different religions interpret this differently so i'm interested. i know some believe he was god in the physical form and some believe he was literally the son of god (as in, not god himself), and some believe he was neither.

so enlighten me.

I came across this article through a link on a website, I find it completly repulsive, but yet with the "don't ask don't tell" policy isn't it a little ironic too? I guess it just goes to show that homosexuality is only acceptable to our government when it is benificial to them. Has any one else read this article? if so what is your take on it?
