Why do women always have to be 'ladylike'? People think its strange when we fart, burp or look like a monster when we wake up in the morning. But its soooo normal for a man to do these things...people think we are supposed to be all pretty all the time and be gentle and soft... i asked a question...and man responded that woman are SUPPOSED to be smart and sexy. What are men SUPPOSED to be? Why can't we get rid of this high standard for women...we fart, have bad breath in the morning, we burp when we need to, and when we are hungry, we don't always sit back and eat like a bird carefully dabbing our lips with a napkin. My question is...why doesnt the world get rid of this vision of women...because its not true. We put on front to be the 'lady' you want us to be.

of the material world and the immaterial world and anything hypothetically "beyond" both states of existence?

Also, how do you explain the existence of non-material realities, like numbers, moral values, ideas, and consciousness?

The verse John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” …………….this verse was written by a jew named Philo Of Alexandria…even before Jesus. So this is not considered true…
Now even you think of it to be true it is written that
“the word was God” now if u replace the word “word ” with God “In the beginning was the GOD, and the GOD was with God, and the GOD was God” now will you say that there were 2 Gods no of course not ..God is the one and only.
The word God used here is the god(with small “g”) not capital “g”.god means a messenger and it is used in bible in Exodus chapter 7 verse 1” Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet” now will you say that Moses was God no , the word god used here is Tonthios (small g).
The first time “GOD” is ,used as Hothios (capital g) which means God.the second time it is used as Tonthios (small g) meaning a messenger…

In Exodus 11:10 This story is played out. I don't want my kids to view God in this manner since it brings him down to man's level.

Hi :) Recently I asked a question about possible translations for a tattoo in latin I was considering.

In English, the tattoo would read: "For wherever I may travel, my heart will be the path."

Several of you (dollhaus, moonlight roma, and martox45) were kind enough to provide me with some translations -thank you. However, the translations vary somewhat from each other, and I was wondering what the difference was. Are some translations in different styles of latin, or different dialects, or what?

The translations I got were:
"QUAMVIS UBICUMQUE PEREGRINARI POSSIM
COR MEUM LIMES ERIT
or also
QUAMVIS UBICUMQUE PEREGRINABOR
COR MEUM LIMES ERIT"

"fari quacumque ab at ambulo apud adytum arbitratus abeo abdera deerro."

"Cor meum via erit quocumque faciam iter."

Which of these translations is 'more accurate' so to speak, and what is the difference between them all?

Why is it that people that aren't christian tend to watch our every move just waiting for us to do something wrong or sin? Then totally going crazy and judging us for it? Why don't people understand that just because we are christians doesn't mean that we don't mess up, don't sin (every one tries not to), and we don't have struggles and problems of our own just as much as they do and then thinks we are hypocrits when this stuff happens?

Why is the Buddha almost always depicted as being extremely overweight?

His teachings talked about moderation and selflessness; about following the middle way. of not over indulging but not starving either. Historical records mention his constant fasting and malnutrition. (the period before his enlightenment)

Why then, would he be fat?

NO, its not because he's the 'happy' Buddha. Thats not it. The man reached Nirvana, of course he's 'happy'. That doesnt mean that he'd completely stray from his own philosophy.
