Free market republic, with a part time legislature and regular referenda on major legislation. Government has the power to enforce laws, settle disputes, defend the shores, and little else.

I'd be the monarch for life. and if you didn't like it, you could leave. Plus I'd have strict laws about who would be allowed in my country so I'd only have smart, open minded people who wanted to make the world better. One day I'll buy a huge island and do that.
