Let me first say that I am sorry for the loss of your cousin.
With that said, if your cousin accepted Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior, your cousin was given the promise that he would never be forsaken and that Jesus would walk with him always and never leave him. Always as in forever. Jesus Christ did not state that he would walk with us until his return or until the rapture or until your cousin committed another sin or anything..... he did not put any stipulations or strings on his love .. other than it was everlasting.
He is a forgiving Savior of all our sins. No sin is greater than another. Sin is sin.. there are no degrees of sin. He may remember what your cousin did while he was here on Earth, but he forgives all his children and followers. Your job now is not to dwell on any sins your cousin may have done but instead to know that he is know with the Lord and they are preparing a place for you and all of his his followers.
Now who else do you know who can promise that. Please rest assured that your cousin is now walking with the Lord in the kingdom he promised us and that if you accept him, or have accepted him, when you time here on Earth is finished, you too will be walking with him as well. His love is unconditional if you accept him as your savior. God Bless.

When a person dies, they will still be the same person, same memories, same feelings, only they rest from all their worries and troubles. Where is he? Spirit paradise I suppose, a place of peace and rest until the resurrection. Recall Jesus told one on the cross next to him "Today thou shalt be with me in paradise" and later to Mary after his resurrection "Touch me not for I have not yet ascended to my God and your God". Death means the spirit is separated from the body and goes to paradise or prison (Christ also went and visited the spirits in prison - look for this in 1 Peter, and visited those who were disobedient and were killed by the flood). Recall others were resurrected when Christ was and the same will happen when he comes back, after the resurrection (body & spirit reunited) is when the judgement and you go to heaven, etc. It doesn't matter when you live or die, it does matter how you live.

If your cousin was saved, he is with the Lord. God sits in the middle of eternity. There was no beginning, and there shall be no end. He sees His son on the cross as He looks upon His creation of the stars and as He looks upon us this moment. I have come to believe that heaven would not be heaven if we could see all the misery and evil on in this world.

13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18Wherefore comfort one another with these words

The apostle Paul said to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord....His soul is with the Lord...When Jesus comes back the dead in Christ rise first...At that point he'll be given a new body that never dies. Does that help clarify it?
Your cousin will remember everything.
Heavenly Father be with Just help him in dealing with the death of his cousin...You are Jehovah-Shalom our Peace...Give Him Your peace. Let him know that his cousin is with You and give him Your sweet rest. In Jesus name. Amen.

Those that "pass away" in JESUS are more alive than they have ever been.
No more suffering, pain, or needs.
There is no need to worry about your cousin who is now having the time of his life, truly.
We will all be back together soon.
JESUS Bless you,
dave

As I have said umpteen times that we are like waves in the ocean, separating from each other from time to time. If a wave starts caring for the companion wave, it is an exercise in futility. What binds us all together is the ocean.
Now thinking what happened to your cousin is again going into the details of the wave which got perished. Think carefully of the ocean instead. The waves will come and go. Don't attach yourself to those.
Edit
I am surprised by the negative ratings that I have got so far. That shows our apathy in accepting the reality.
