It's the only way they can rationalize it. If they don't say it's a choice then it suggests God made people naturally gay and thus "born into sin", so to speak. They don't want to admit that God would do that, and I think, for a lot of them anyway, they have a certain dislike towards homosexuals and they want to make them out to be bad people.
The truth is, a God of peace and love would have no issue with two people falling in love.

Correction: Not all Christians think homosexuality is a choice. I'm a Christian and I don't believe being GLBT is a choice at all. Those of us who are educated enough to actually do some reading and research on our own to learn about what the Bible actually says and WHY know the truth. Generalizations are dangerous. Tread softly.

They argue that homosexuality is a sin. Therefore if someone is born with the sin, they didn't choose to. God didn't create people to automatically sin so therefore this can't happen! Therefore homosexuality must be a choice...
Religion is full of paradoxes and they just bury themselves deeper into the plot holes hoping for the best.

Well, this is what I wrote:
Well it's obvious then, homosexuality is not a sin.
Ok, for everyone those who say being gay is a choice, what you are saying is that we all have the possibility of "choosing" our sexuality, choosing who we fall in love with, that there is absolutely nothing romantic or beautiful about love.
Also, you are implying that we all have the possibility of being gay or straight, which means we have innate leanings to both males and females, which essentially means that you, (The person who say we choose our sexuality), me, everyone is born bi-sexual.
Will you stand by your beliefs after that analysis?

I'm a Christian who knows better. If homosexuality is a choice then I would have had to choose to be straight & that was already decided for me before I was born.

because they refuse world accepted scientific persons/organisations research which backs up the view point that gay is not a choice. n then jump on the nearest flimisy 6yrs olds paper that is ridiculed by phycologists and scientisit worldwide as proven fact that gay is choice.
in otherwords they if it backs up their view point it must be FACT, yet the FACT is they r talking out the ****

I **don't** think they care if it is a choice or not. That's not the issue. They think DOING it is the sin.
(I say, well, then "they" better not do it!)
We Christians who DON'T read our religious documents with that interpretation - we don't have that sin problem. We have nothing to worry about.

At some point you have to make the choice of taking your paints off and bending over for another man. These actions are not genetic, as you are able to make different choices.

Please do not confuse Christians with the bunch of nuts cases you see here, read about in the paper, etc...these are extreme fanatics who call themselves Christians...the Christians I know disavow any connection with groups and individuals like this. I am not a Christian. But in all honesty, the many that I know are NOT like what you see here..this site attracts some very strange people, I suppose myself included. Good luck
