The bad news is that you may have had to do overcome it alone without the support of family or friends.

The good news is that God never sends us into any situation alone or with plans to fail, for the bible teaches us:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD..." -- Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIV

What was the outcome when you trusted in yourself?

What was the outcome when you trusted in God?

Thank you in advance for your responses....

I face it many times, and usually always thought I was along.

This was a bad time at the moment for me....
I remember once at work, My boss was very angry at all of us and had us in a meeting as many as fifty. I felt compassion in my heart for my boss, we all messed up on the assembly line by not reading the blue prints correctly, and it cost him some money. I raised my hand, and said I was one of them.... I felt so alone when everyone was looking at me, and I can read their energy- expressions on their faces, they were all thinking,"your crazy" "your nuts" and your going to get fired" ....also in that very moment of truth and compassion, I felt God's presence intervene, floating above me to my left, I felt God's warmth happy spirit in and all around me, and felt what he said to me in my head,"I am happy with you"
And My boss after the meeting came over and shook my hand, he was happy and said," it took courage for you to do that knowing no one stood by you"

My OUTCOME was, I was truthful, with compassion, and had God in my heart, so I done the right thing at the right time. God came to tell me that he was happy with me...... basically he pat me on the back. And what everyone in the room didn't know was that God was standing there by my side, and everything worked out:)

Lots of questions there.

1. Yes.
2. By accepting the failure, learning from it and moving on.
3. The outcome when I trusted in myself was that I overcame the problem, attained wisdom and emerged a stronger, more competant person.
4. The outcome when I trusted God was nothing. No change at all. If you expect someone or something outside of yourself to solve your problems, your problems will never be solved. They're YOUR problems, only YOU can solve them.

I'll just answer your top question.

Did I ever face failure: Yes, if meaning have I ever faced failure.
How did I handle it: First: denial. Second: hid it. Third: confessed it. Fourth: Repented (never done again)

I'm sure it'll come up again, and I pray I'm ready to pass and not fail next time.

Amen. Faced failure many times of my own doing.

outcome - poor

When trusting in God - We'll see since that's what I'm doing now, but I know it will be great cause He says so.

In the Uk we have to undergo a driving theory test, before we can sit the practical. I studied for the test knowing that I had prepared well in order to give myself a good chance of passing. I also prayed that the Lord would help me not to be overwhelmed by nervousness. He of course, answered my prayer, for today I sat my driving theory test, and passed.

Yes, I've faced failure, everyday when I wake up. Because I can choose to make my day a failure or I can choose to make my day an Accomplishment. I choose the latter.

Since my 'Dark night of the Soul' I have always had success, if only in that I have been able to draw the positive from seemingly negative events.

The outcome when I trusted myself, I worked hard.

The outcome when I trusted in God, I become lazy, since someone else will plan for me .......

By the way, why are you quoting that quote out of context?

When I trusted in myself, I managed to get straight A's. When I trusted in God, I got C's and B's. I guess he's not reliable for me, because I don't even believe in him... I handled my failure by trusting in myself instead :D
