I don't hate Muslims I just don't get it. Seems there's always a protest in the streets about some ridiculous ting or another. I can't understand why guys like Bin Lade can't declare Jihad on some disease or something beneficial to the world. I have to admit I look at the middle east and its history and I see endless fighting. I wonder who would want to bring a child into that kind of hornets nest of activity. Sure we've had our wars here but we want to move forward and live our lives in peace. Then we see on the news mothers giving their children to be used as suicide bombs and that seems to go against our maternal paternal instincts.

Hello,

Not hatred; just misunderstanding on both sides. Also history has been dropped a great deal in schools so if you ask someone who Suleiman, Feisal or the Mahdi was they'll ask which football team they are on?

Some are misinformed about Islam; patterns of thinking, philosophies and understanding the world are different.
For some westerners there seems to be a number of double standards in Islam or its tribal connections.

As far as violence is concerned no one race has the monopoly and all Islam should not be painted with the same brush.

Regards,

Michael

Most of the Westerners have a really perverted concept about Muslims (thanks to the media propaganda mostly). At the same time, many of the Muslims are not what Islam is all about. So the Westerners do not get a good concept of Islam as well when they look at Muslims. So I would say its partly West's fault for its propagandist approach and partly Mulim's fault for bringing bad name to Islam by not being living examples of it.

hate is a strong word....people are fearful of what they don't fully know or understand. It's the same reason people 'hate' a variety of groups.
On top of that, we have been taught by our history and religion that Islam is opposed to Christianity, thus our largely Christian population has grown up wary of other faiths and traditions....largely becuase we don't understand them and because we fear their influence/growth.
Further, we have been told repeatedly of the horrors of the Middle East and the horrors of what a small group of people...supposedly being led by faith....will do to their own people, much less our people.
Good, faithful Muslims must be willing to stand up and show the west another, better picture of who Muslims really are and what they stand for. Otherwise, suicide bombers and extremists are the only viewpoit we receive. It isn't accurate or right, but it won't change until we aren't fearful of or uncomfortable around Muslims. This same thing has occurred throughout our history with many groups of people...Indians, African-Americans, Jews, have all been subjects of fear and 'hate' for Americans in the past.

I can't speak for everyone, but I don't hate Muslim people. They are humans created by God & are my brothers & sisters in this way.

I do hate the religion of Islam as it is contrary to God's Word (2 Corinthians 10:5) & does not distinguish between religion & state leading to infringment on equal rights (i.e. theocracy that converts by the sword). The fact that some people choose to define themselves according to the lies of Islam is their choice--in most cases they are coerced by fear, but nontheless it is wrong. It's hard to know how to handle this awful situation--advocate for the removal &/or punishment of those who are holding people in fear? Advocate for Christians, many times persecuted, living in these areas? I hope & pray that the Holy Spirit would move Muslims to true repentance in Christ alone, but I cannot force them to believe. In other words, the Christian Church has no place in converting by the sword either.

At the same time, I believe that the U.S. has the right to defend it's freedom & earthly sovereignty. If that means we have to defend ourselves against those who would infringe on equal rights, by the sword, that is what must be done. It is partly the U.S. miliatary action that makes peaceful conversion by the preaching of the Law & Gospel possible.

Christians, if they are true to Christ & His Word, shouldn't be anti-Muslim, but must be anti-Islam.

Propaganda and misunderstandings coupled with the fact that Muslim countries are behind the 1st world countries in governmental structures. Any country that doesn't allow freedom for ALL of it's people are automatically suspect in the west.

People are people no matter where you go or what you believe. The west just has trouble understanding that the entire world is not at the level of development that we ourselves are at.....and YES I consider freedom more advanced than suppressing minorities, most of us in the west do.

Have you stopped to consider that the supposed "hate for Muslims" does not exist in the minds of many?
How are attempts to eliminate those who murder in the name of an ideology considered "hate"?
How is the desire to spread truth to those who have only partial knowledge considered "hate"?
When the threat is gone and the slaves are free there can be much learning.

Western Civilization kind of looks down upon religious extremism whether it be fundamental Christianity or Muslimism.

Because there are so many of them that say they will kill us. Why? They say it's because we are evil. They make us a little nervous with that sort of rhetoric. We don't exactly hate them but when they won't listen to reason and seriously do plan to kill us--- we hate that.
