Adam and eve were not married (since the institution is a legal contract, and churches and laws didn't exist then), and neither were their children who obviously had to commit incest in order to make more people. If this is the case, then why do people consider it wrong to have pre-marital sex. If it was good enough for my ancestors, with god's acceptance, then why not us?

but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself

Paul claims that Jesus' appearance and crucifixion is taking place in the end of the world, meaning in the end of time.

Well, its already 2007 years after the supposed incident and the world is still around.... Well dear Christians, won't you agree Paul made a mistake in mentioning the end of time, after Jesus' sacrifice?
Needless to say about Paul's other contradictions, he had made mistakes after mistakes. Yet, its difficult for you Christians to admit it. Read the Bible in a logical and rational way, without being bias. Won't you still agree, that Paul is Not Trustworthy?

God has helped me so much through my life. No... when i prayed for him to get me that amazing barbie, he did not get me it. But he has given me so much needed hope and faith in my life. It doesnt matter what religion you are in, in ways i think religions are all inter-related and none of them are wrong. But now there are so many people who think God is pure Bogus. I feel sorry for them. They must feel very alone sometimes. I am never alone. God always watches over me. We should not blame him for the cruelty in the world. We cause that. Humans never take the blame for anything. God cannot control us, only influence us. We should not blame God for deaths, God doesnt see death as a bad thing and neither should we. Death is a part of life. But why do we find so many people who hate religion nower days! It isnt the good religios people who start wars, it is the corrupt people who claim to be religious but realy dont know much about the kindness and love that true relgion consists of.

Noah built an Ark of 450 x 75 x 45 feet. Let’s say none of it was needed for food, water and stretch out room. There was room for 85,000 species if the entire ark was used.

This calculation starts at the largest land species and going down in size. There were 2 of each stored in the ark at body volume +50% to square those corners off.

Modern estimates on the low end are 10 million land species of animals.

So, where did the rest of the species come from after the Noah's ark? Evolution?

You guys are OK with math to show us the world is only 6 thousand years old. Do the math on the ark and you will see that either the ark did not happen as told or evolution has taken place to multiply the species to present levels.

Here is the question. How do you rectify this discrepancy in you mind if the bible is literally true?

Is not the idea of God being both omnipotent and omniscient a contradiction? Because surely it leads to the question, "can God change his mind?" If he is all knowing he would not have the capacity to change his mind as he knows everything! If he did change his mind then he would have been wrong which is not possible if he knows everything. And if he is All-Powerful then he would have to have the power to change his mind because otherwise he isn't all-powerful.

How do you explain this contradiction?

I firmly believe that LGBT people are canaries in the proverbial coal mine when it comes to how much freedom is in a country or region. We see that the countries with the most freedom for everybody treat LGBT people the best. When Russia was becoming freer, "sodomy" was decriminalized, but now LGBTs are being beaten for trying to have a rally in Moscow. The Middle East is horrible for gays, and just slightly less horrible for straights. And so on, and so on.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this, and has their own observations.

You're cruising on an interstate at 70-75 mph... Plenty fast. Then someone comes flying up behind you as you pass another vehicle. You pull into the traveling lane to let them pass you, but they follow you there and continue to tailgate. On occassion, it is because their exit is coming up... But a lot of times it's not! Why do they do this?!

I love it. Take that atheists! You have been shredded at the wood shed of values and discussion of life!!!!!

There are many different forces that are trying desperately to funnel us towards alternative lifestyles.

This philly has the right attitude, and more like her will lead a revolution towards those things that are good in the world. More solid marriages, more solid reasoning, a better education, a stronger foundation in the Lord, men and women loving each other and not getting tattoos and dancing in ways that are wrong.

Have you seen these dancing shows? They show adult women twisting around in ways they should never even think about! It's sick! Tight pants, with a firm stomach and long legs that never end. It's not good to see what happens when a leader of a family like me is driven down that kind of path of thoughts that are wrong.

Families are too important to trust in the hands of these philly's in Europe and Denmark who are against us. They love each other and get tattoos that lead to sin and same love with pictures.

Assuming that heaven and hell exist, I would choose hell. I strongly believe that a god who sends people to burn for eternity, doesn't deserve me to be close to him. I want to be as far away as possible from such a being.

Thank God for giving me that choice. I think many people should choose the same, simply to stand up to such an amoral god. Maybe He'll learn something from it, and with that we can save future generations from God's obvious wrong view of what punishment is.

That leads me to the question: Why continue on "warning" people about Hell? Many have made their choice, with fully understanding the concepts of heaven, hell and God.

Why not just stop "warning"?

It is a mockery before God to baptize little children (Mormon teaching manual Chapter 20). When the holy bible saids.

"Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, every one whom the Lord our God calls to Him." [Acts 2:38-39]

"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." [Acts 16:31]

...and he (the jailer) was baptized at once, with all his family. [Acts 16:33]

Now these baptisms were performed with a sense of urgency. If baptism were not necessary for salvation, then why did St. Paul baptize the jailer and his family almost immediately during the midnight hour? Since baptism is a one-time event for a person, it was more expedient for St. Paul to simply baptize the whole family than to tell the jailer that baptism is necessary for salvation.

This particular passage leads into the second issue: infant baptism. Even though the Bible does not directly address the issue of infant baptism, it does record the baptisms of three different families. As quoted above all of the jailer's family were baptized (Acts 16:33). Also the family of Lydia (Acts 16:15) and the family of Stephanas (1 Cor 1:16) were baptized. Typically a family includes children. These three passages infer infant baptism, even though they may not explicitly indicate the baptism of children. There are no indications that only adults were involved. Now it is possible that a family may be childless; however, the chance that these three families had at least one young child is greater than the chance that all three had no children. A Christian, who objects to infant baptism, must interpret these three Bible passages with the assumption that each family had no young children.

Elsewhere Jesus said:

"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it. [Luke 18:16-17; also see Matt 11:25]

What I’ve come up with after some research is that in these times the ability of a woman’s worth in the ancient Near East was measured in her ability to bear children, and this excerpt of the passage tells of the test of an Unfaithful Wife and of the punishment for her crimes of adultery. The fact that God insist that this women be taken before the priest is an act of mercy, that I understand because before this, women who had been suspect of such a crime by an angry husband would be far worse. Stoning was a common punishment for one to be convicted of simply by the implication of unfaithfulness by a jealous onlooker. I also see how this passage was meant to illustrate how laws regarding marital infidelity are most serious and how after the woman has drank the accursed liquid she will either show if she is pregnant or if she has been afflicted of a venereal disease (the rotting of her thigh).

However, I don’t understand the whole miscarriage part or if this is simply an instructional abortion?? Is it latterly instructing a woman aborting her child??
