Lokasenna - the ability to remove fans would be great. I had a teenager following my starred questions on my deleted account. Didn't notice until I started seeing her on the questions.

Wingless - I want to know how it works, too. But I don't want to block anybody. An answerer said it would be working on Tuesday.

Take a look at my other question, if you don't already know what blocking does.

Way to go Yamster. God forbid we should be burdened with an opinion other than our own.
Whoo-Hoo! Yamster perpetuates ignorance! Yay!

I thought I saw something like that. How does that work... what do you do and in what context would you do that?
Oops, I asked a question in the answer part..... ooooohhhh, I am going to get in trouble!
(laughs) Actually someone gave me grief about that, not following the rules... oops there I go again.
Sorry.

Awesome. Can we remove fans now too?
EDIT: No, you still see questions and answers from them, unfortunately. However it says it limits what they can see of your questions or network. At least that's what it said when I blocked a few people. Oh yeah, I have no problem blocks trolls and clones. *evil grin*

Does this mean they can't email me? I used to have this guy who bombarded me with nonsense. I finally had to do the dreaded deed and ... report him. He stopped, but did not lose his account. I guess they spanked him.
So could I ban him and he'd no longer have the ability to use my email? That would be cool.

So how would it work, exactly? Would it prevent them from seeing our stuff, or us from seeing theirs?
It would be so nice if we could block people from reading our posts. It might screw up some of the trolls.

I noticed that
and this was something I wrote to yahoo about not long ago
because some stalkers would add you to their list , so that they can follow your questions
I think it is a good idea

how does it work? you don't see answers from the users you block or what?
EDIT: limits what they can see? hmmm... will they be able to e-mail you?
that's what it said when I blocked one guy: the user will not have access to your Network or Q&A via your public profile page.

I have the 'my network' disabled anyway.
The block thing could still be useful if it can be set as default or global.
