Is this why we are not asking many questions in the 'Senior' section?

no it's because we're too busy answering young peoples questions to ask our own

I have every expectation that I will continue to learn something new every day until I die.

I have never thought I "knew everything" (I leave that to the extremely young).

But yet I have only ever asked one question (let alone in the Senior's section), because I am an inherantly shy individual and don't want to appear foolish and addle-brained old!

I DO have a lot of fun answering them though! And thank my lucky stars that there are still people in this world forward enough (or desperate enough?) to require my small bit of help.

Dear Ms. Afrowoman,
Absolutely not! I try to learn something new everyday even if it may seem petty to others (like my husband).
I love the cooking and recipes section because that is my passion. I'm thrilled that so many young people take such an interest in cooking. I was beginning to think it was a lost art. I asked a question once just to see what may come up and it was great!
Answering questions makes me feel as though I have my grand daughter with me in the kitchen and I'm sharing the "tricks of the trade" with her.

I'm a senior and I'm getting ready to go back to college... I am also currently studying for tests with my denomination that will lead to the next step in my ministry licensing. Does that sound like a senior who fits your question?

Many of us find ourselves busier after retirement than we were before.

It could be the quality of the answers found on YA that accounts for the lack of questions found here. Or... It could be that they are so busy answering questions on other parts of the forum that they don't have time to post questions here.

I have more fun answering questions, especially in the family section. So many people in such deep trouble. I just try to help out.

Seniors are always learning..but truthfully, from the looks of most questions and answers here, I don't think we are going to find startling revelations. Good luck

wisdom and knowledge are always being sought after. however, much can be gained by visiting other areas and sections. I spend a lot of time in history, mythology, groups, religion.

Not really. I think they don't want to ask frivolous questions as in the other sections.

Not by a long shot. We're always interested in learning other things - but we don't confine ourselves to this one section.

That's a fair assessment, yes.

If one has led a full life, then they have not only formed some definite opinions, but they've already seen MORE than their share of lame excuses and BS answers to life.
