I've been asked to sing a solo performance in church. I'm nervous, I've only ever sung in the Christmas Program. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, or suggestions for songs that they love to hear a soprano sing? I really want to be inspirational, not boring. Song choice is not my strength. . . I usually just get assigned a song! Please help!

Thank You!

A year ago, a big earthquake shake my city, made me lost some relatives and friends. And I thought, I would die at that time.

After that earthquake, i realized, I did so many sins, and death can come suddenly... I don't wanna die before I've been forgiven. Then I tried to be a good Muslim, Remembered about death and day of judgment, Took salat in the early time, Learned more about Quran, Did some sunnaths.....

but day by day, I changed, back to what i used to be, spent much time in front of TV or shopping malls, lazy to learn Quran, Lazy to take pray in the early time...
I forget about death and day of judgment.

Then now, I heard rumors that tomorrow will be an earthquake that bigger than last year earthquake.

Then, again, I remember about my sins, about death, and day of judgment

Why am I always like this??
What should I do? So I can always remember about the aims of life, not only look for enjoyment?

Frankly, I'm afraid if disaster will come again
I haven't prepared to die

Atheism has spread like wildfire through Europe and Australia, something which can only be applauded. However, in recent times there has been Atheist organisations that have been created such as the Brights Movement. By becoming organised, does atheism not face the horrible possibility of becoming inflexible, dogmatic and narrow-minded? Is atheism in danger of becoming the very thing it is against?

believes in much of evolution. You can't deny facts. However, I believe that it was initiated by God. I also believe god filled in the holes of evolution (cambrian explosion). So.... what do athiests have to say about me? Do they still think i am ludicrous? How can athiests justify the orgin of life coming from a random mixture of chemicals that evolved into a single celled organism? Can someone explain it to me.

This is the response I got from one of the participants here when I asked about how others respond to the Jehovah's Witnesses: oh boo hoo for you. what a hassle it is to open your door. you're probably a fat overweight lazy piece of garbage who only wants to open the door if it's the pizza guy

What do you do when you get responses like this?

All of the music is in spanish and a large number of the congregation speak spanish only. An interpretation device can be warn but I find it difficult to block out what is going on around me so I can hear what is being said through my earpiece. My husband enjoys the worship experience and wants me to attend with him. I feel the language difference is a huge barrier to overcome so I do not go with him. Since I have no other place to worship and I don't want to go alone I just stay at home...alone. My husband has offered to go to a church that I like on Saturday or Sunday night with me but none of the ones we try are good enough. This is driving a wedge in our relationship! Any ideas??

I have been to Baptist, Southerns Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic,Jehova's Witness Kingdom Hall, Salvation Army,Pentecostal and few nondenominational. While I can appreciate them all I remain Catholic. That is were I feel called and at home. But I am wondering how many judge what they have never known.

I'm Catholic and my boyfriend is Christian, lately we have been talking about getting married, not now but in the future, I really would like to get married in a Catholic Church, but I love him so much, as long as we're married I'll be happy. Will he have to become Catholic to get married in a Catholic Church. I don't want to make him feel like he has to be in my religion to marry me. He has talked about wanting to go to Church with us (My family and I) to see what it's like.

I wonder how T-Rex could have made the long trip and finally clambor onto an ark, if he (and she) was (were) this clumsy and slow...

But wait...in asking this question, another question occurred to me: who went all over the planet, found these huge beasts, and then HERDED these Dinosaurs onto the Ark anyway? Ever think of that? Trying to herd Dinosaurs?? WHOA!!! RIDICULOUS!!!

And, BETTER YET, checking their genitals closely enough to make sure they were a mated pair?? YIKES!! The story just gets MORE and MORE SILLY!!!! Imagine -- lifting the tails of T-Rex's and Brontosauruses to check for the right equipment!!

"Whoops -- I know T-Rex testes when I see them. Sorry, already have a guy...I need to find me a T-Rex female now. Whoa, that one looks kinda cute! Hey Karl, lift that one's tail and check!"

How much more silly can bible fables get??

YIKES and CRIMINY!!!!

MEDFORD, Ore. -- A Medford man accused of storing his dead lover's body in a freezer for about a year is expected to plead guilty next month rather than face a trial scheduled for Wednesday.

The body was identified as William B. Richardson, the 77-year-old owner of the home. Richardson died from bladder cancer in January 2006, and prosecutors allege that Mahanna concealed the older man's death so he could collect the pension Richardson earned as a school librarian in California.

Mahanna's mother, Helen, told the Mail Tribune shortly after her son's arrest that Mahanna and Richardson were together for 35 years.

There have been countless conflicts between "trolls" and us just on yahoo alone about whether being gay is induced by nature or nuture. I just wanna hear some of everyone's theories. So what do you think makes gay people gay and why? I don't have a theory although I personally feel I was born gay because I found out when i was 5 - but I don't believe that all gay people are born gay just because of my situation. So what are your ideas on this? even more imporntantly - if it was proven in some crazy scientific way that its actually a choice then would you still choose to be gay? Me? I wouldn't change myself even if society put bounty on my head for it. What about you?
