Elliot wrote "I forget whose theory it is, but someone suggested that revenge is necessary because by demonstrating their mutual condemnation of a criminal, a society is brought closer together. There's probably something to that."

I understand that point of view. It is completely VOGUE to hate sex offenders right now. I hear people all the time "relating" to eachother how much they hate sex offenders. It was Communists, not too long ago. Thoughts?

Is it culture?
Do they really think they are contributing to their image when it is seen all over the world?

My date recounted this to me. The taxi driver was an old man. When they got to their destination, and my date found that he didn't have enough cash, he paid whatever he had, took his bags and said he'll be right back with the change. The old man snatched and pulled at his bag and never allowed him access to his own bag - said he needed money first. My date, shocked with the rudeness said "you are a jerk" before he left. And ofcourse, no tip.

The taxi driver's behavior was indeed shockingly rude, according to me. But am not sure, whether saying what he said was justified.

Another question: Should I lodge a complaint with the taxi service about this driver?

I posted a question about how to get rid of a spirit if you called it up using a Ouija Board because Me and a few people were stupid and used one then freaked ourselves out. The thing is when I posted the question I found that lots of people were eager to preach at me and throw around religious verses than offer advice besides saying dont mess around with a Ouija Board. I find that these people are all too eager to preach at you but when it comes to offering actual spiritual guidance that may even help someone who feels they have to use a Ouija Board because alot of crappy things happened to them in such a short amount of time that its hard to have a little faith in anything, they are the last to be found but always there to judge. I know everyone is not like that But I want to know peoples opinions. By the way I learned my lesson not to mess around with a Ouija Board if not for the spiritual effects but for the Psycological ones because I feel bad for doing it.

Presumably they'd be white for a start, although I suppose God could be a multi-colour card.

What about if Jesus has "On the second turn after Jesus was put into the graveyard from play, return Jesus to play and place an invulnerability counter on him." No?

Suggestions please?

If there is no such chapter and verse, how can the Trinity be the central doctrine of Christianity, and essential for salvation?

Everything else necessary for salvation is clearly mentioned in the Bible. Where in the Bible is the word "Trinity"?

I do not mean "allusions", which are open to interpretation. I mean the word "Trinity" itself.

Sorry, I know it's an odd question but do Americans actually use the word 'sink' to refer to the thing in your kitchen with taps on it... ..or is that just a Brit word?

I'm thinking of giving something the title of 'Kitchen Sink' and I want to know if it will translate! I'm sure you probably do but I wanted to check.

Acts 13:48 (King James Version)
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Romans 9:16-18,23 It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory

Can non-Christians be loving and forgiveing too?

Jews?
Muslims?
Atheists?
Agnostics?
Astaur?
Wicca?

I just wanna understand because a lot of people are answering some of my questions today informing me that love and forgiveness are Christian principles,

I just wanted to verify I'm not a crazy person thinking Christianity doesn't have a monopoly on love and forgiveness.

I've gone to various places like Tahiti, Kosta Rika, Argentina, Peru, The Netherlands, Celebes, Bali, Java, and India just to see a walking decomposing corpse...

And yes corpses walk, 5h1t happens. The only thing is they do not permit me take picz to show you. I did several times with a hidden cam (with digitals and old & busted films) but somehow the pictures didn't come out - I think they use somekind of magnetic stuff.

How do U explain these?

I asked if faith (belief without evidence) has a place in daily life. People came up with several answers...all based on evidence. People talked about sitting in chairs, like it's the first time they've ever TRIED it. I think some definition pruning is in order... It's not "faith" that the sun will come up tomorrow, it's a lifetime-long trend that is apparent to everyone. Now, thinking you'll find yourself in front of a giant old man who loves you, moments after you die....that's faith...unless, of course you consider the BIBLE to be evidence...then you're just confused.

Revelation 16:2-14 2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. 3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. 4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. 8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. 10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain... 12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
