I'm 45 business woman and I work as H.R. manager in a big multinational company.
Last week, during a big convention in an exotic location, I had to suffer terribly because of kidney stones.
After hours of excruciating pain and nobody who could help me, in spite of all my efforts, I didn't manage to fight back the tears and I started silently crying in front of many of my colleagues.
I felt very embarassed...
What do you think?

Whether it is who or what you may or may not marry, where and how fast you may drive, zoning regulations, building regulations, tax laws, etc. -- aren't ALL laws, rules, and regulations the imposition of someone ELSE'S beliefs/morals/values? Doesn't this render the cry, "you're trying to impose your beliefs/morals/values on me!" pointless, silly, and an overall poor argument?

It seems to me that there is already a "cold" cilvil war as a result of this issue.

The geographic location of the bible belt is quite defined.

Could tensions one day spiral out of control and lead to a "hot" civil war over religion?

okay here is a weird situation. Lets say i am in my dorm room and my friend is coming to pick me up, when i call him he is standing outside and he can see his car. Like i said i am sitting in my room on my cellphone with him, and the guy i am calling shotgun against is next to me. So he definitely hears me call it, and the driver definitely hears me call it. Now naturally i think it counts but the other guy says BS. what do you guys think?

I can't take my life anymore, I don't have any real friends, I always have to be the one calling them, they never call me, only a few call me & thats only because they are returning my phone calls, I'm gonna be 20 next year in January, I'm still a virgin, I've never had a girlfriend, all I've done is kiss a girl which was through Truth or Dare, & the last time I kissed a girl was when I was 17, I recently stopped hanging out with my friends because I couldn't stand them, cause everytime we went out we always had ruined nights & weekends, like our plans always backfired when were gonna go out with girls or to a party, like it only went right one time when we went to a hotel party but it wasn't all that fun. I haven't been to a typical all white party yet, why are those parties hard to get invited to?, I'm half-white, half-mexican, but my voice sounds white, i'm light skinned, it seems that I have an easy time hispanic friends, & hard time making white friends.

I respect Meg M, but I'm confused by her response on gay marriage:

i heard that a lot of people didnt like that movie because it was making fun of the bible and religion and i think that it actually sent a good message about god: that god is always listening to your prairs and he's always with you. But now i saw a preview of the new movie coming out called Evan Almighty or something like that, its supposed to be like the sequal and i didnt like it cause it seems to me it's a little over the board as in theyre making way too much fun of the bible by trying to make it a funny comedy! whats your opinion what do you think?
