Both some times. In fact, my church started by being a bible study and prayer meeting in my pastor's house twice a week. It lasted that way for four years, until our bible study/prayer meeting got too many people to fit into their living room. So we looked for a church building to rent, and we've been there ever since. It's been about fourteen years now. Also, we still have prayer meetings about once a week at someone's house.

I don't pray or attend a church, however, my mother does go to someone's house for that. They have bible proceedings there.
