religion is the biggest cause of war as most people who follow a religion think if you arnt one of us then you arnt as good as us in some way or another...i think it should be a case of anyone who practices a religion that even thinks about others or effects them in any way what so ever they should be put against a wall and shot. and if you think that is a bit harsh then think about how many people have died in less humane ways becouse your religion has passed over there doorstep.

How do you get the communities to become more involved with saving the horses from the slaughterhouses? How can I get people to donate monies to buy these horses from the killer buyers and the auctions?

If we were in fact designed than clearly intelligence was not a factor. Why do we have an appendix? or a gall bladder? Why isn't our weight better distributed so as to prevent back issues? What purpose to all toes (excluding the big toe) serve? (The Big toe helps us balance) I would think that if we had a creator, he must have been drunk at the time.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that my personal spirituality is more in line with songs such as "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Breathe" than any dogma of an organized religion.

And when you get right down to it, is there any differance between reading the words written by man in the Bible and applying them to your life, or listening to the words sung by man on Dark Side of the Moon or the White Album and doing the same?

I'm not suggesting that I have alters to these musical artists or that I pray to them for guidence, more like I listen to what they have to say and think "Yeah... I can dig that."

What do you think of this? Wrong? Right? Crazy?

In closing, I'll leave you with my favorite scene from the movie Michael.

"Remember what John and Paul said."
"The Apostles?"
"No, the Beatles. All you need is love."

I asked this in "the pregnant section" and only got three answers....

I am 37 weeks pregnant, and have had two kids before. But the past two nights in a row, I have been waking up thinking I am in ACTIVE LABOR. I jump up and rush to the bathroom thinking my water has broke, or wake up reaching for the phone to call my hubby. Is this normal? I have read about expecting moms who dream about the baby, but these dreams are about the labor. What does it mean? Have you experienced this? Thanks

okay so my mil decided she is not speaking to me. I have been embarrassed several times in public becuz i chose to greet her anyway just to be snubbed. After repeatedly trying to be nice inspite of, i decided to just pretend she is not even around. This was great becuz i knew she was waiting on the opportunity to snub me and get the power she thrives on. It felt really good to be in control of the situation rather than look stupid. Okay.. silly...but you have to know the hell ive been thru with her to understand. Anyway, once i got home, i felt bad becuz i know that was not the Christian thing to do. IS it really wrong if i know she is not going to speak and I have done nothing wrong for her to act this way.

There has been many fanfiction across the net about real life celebrities and fictitious characters.

So is it wrong for someone to write fanfiction about a real celebrity, or a fictitious character known in a book or tv or movie, or both?

First off, I apologize in advance if anything I say here is unitentionally offensive.

I've noticed a lot of people putting the letters "pbuh" after the Prophet's name when they talk on religion boards. I understand that this means "praise be upon him" or something similar.

My question is, are you really respecting and praising someone if you're taking a shortcut because you don't want to bother typing out your praise for them? I know a lot of Christians get upset when people write "Christmas" as "Xmas" because they say it's disrespectful to shorten Jesus Christ's name that way. I was just wondering if any of the local Muslims felt the same about "pbuh"?

God created everything, so isn't Satan apart of god? So wouldn't that mean that god it evil or has pride and what not. Since "All" Comes from him. Doesn't that mean that god is both god and evil?

Anytime I see a post like this: "a question for Christians", it is usually based on gross misinterpreted and mangled scripture, by misinformed understandings of scripture or our beliefs, and by flawed concepts of "logic". People make statements about the Bible and God which are based only on ones own assumptions, and generally by people who have not even read one fourth of the Bible, let alone given it any consideration or made any attempt to understand it's applications. I can tell you, that I make many opinionated statements myself about atheism, but I at least have personally studied ALL sides of the creation v. B.B., and my opinions are based on actually knowing something about what it is I am debating. People, could it be that maybe you won't allow yourself to actually study and apply the Bible to your life, because you might start to feel it's divine nature and power and start to develop a sense of morality, or worse, become a follower of Christ, the God of Abraham in the flesh

I realize that I am obviously happier then this person, and apparently alot nicer too.. and he was just cristisizing, so I don't beleive what he said as 'true'.... but why are some people so mean?

This website has a lot of people that appear to be very hostile and defensive. Why is it a person that does not have the same views as as another, people instantly become very defensive and hostile? Can't people accept that others don't see things the way they do and let it go? Why the antagonistic attacks?

Christians, non-Christians, and everyone in between... why do you believe what you believe?
I am going through a time that I am finally turning back to God, but it has been a long journey. For those who say that God isn't real, let me tell you that I have proof otherwise. I have tried my best to run from God, but he hasn't given up on me, and I found myself literally propelled back into church Sunday when I didn't even want to. I am curious what turning points made others believe what they believe. My beliefs stem from the fact of the way I was raised combined with the fact that without God life has no meaning... and if you look in the book of Revelation, everything has come to pass... and the fact that someone has been looking out for me, even when I have been on the wrong path.

I ask this question because my wife's sister has joined "The order of the eastren star" (female arm of freemasonry) and her husband has joined the freemason's. I have seen the insignia for the order of the eastren star it is a pentagram with two point's up surrounded by two circles. The same pentagram is used by satanist's. I am well aware of the use of a pentagram to represent the five wound's of christ but that would in fact be one point up not two. Please, any advice on the issue would be greatly appreciated.
