Yes, it is acceptable and effective for an adult to receive spankings for wrong doing. However, it must be consensual, otherwise it's abuse. There are places that do offer that kind of service but imo that would seem rather offical and stuffy. My best advice, find someone in your area that you can get to know that will help you out in that area. You will be amazed at just how many adults are into this kind of thing.

There are those adults that would indeed benefit from disciplinary spankings and the like. Unlike children, who have no choice about how they're disciplined, these adults recognize the fact that their own will isn't strong enough to break bad habits that they might have, and seek out assistance with that matter. This is a common occurrence among the adult consensual spanking community.
As for finding this as a service, I'm certain that many Dominatrices and pro Dominants would offer some form of behavior modification. However, this is not the best way to go. A disciplinarian should be close to you so that the event of punishment is more than just physical, but mental and emotional as well. A person would be better to seek out the spanko scene to find a person to enter into a disciplinary relationship with. This might take time, but is much more effective in the long run.
I've been in disciplinary relationships with a few females. While they wanted to fix some bad habits of theirs, they didn't have the force of will to just do it on their own. So, after knowing them for some time so that there was a personal connection, I started taking them in hand when these bad habits surfaced. The realization that someone who cared about them would hold them accountable when they screwed up, then would forgive them and comfort them when the spanking was over, was what made a difference with these women.

No, its not acceptable.
With children, I support it but not to an extreme. A 2 year old child who's about to stick a fork in a power socket deserves a spanking because they aren't going to understand the explanation of why you shouldn't do it but they most definately will remember "ouch".
An adult is capable of knowing right from wrong, and (supposedly) dumb from smart.

We believe in utilising it for our youthful ones even as warranted. there's no suitable thanks to punish little ones.
