Christians, non-Christians, and everyone in between... why do you believe what you believe?
I am going through a time that I am finally turning back to God, but it has been a long journey. For those who say that God isn't real, let me tell you that I have proof otherwise. I have tried my best to run from God, but he hasn't given up on me, and I found myself literally propelled back into church Sunday when I didn't even want to. I am curious what turning points made others believe what they believe. My beliefs stem from the fact of the way I was raised combined with the fact that without God life has no meaning... and if you look in the book of Revelation, everything has come to pass... and the fact that someone has been looking out for me, even when I have been on the wrong path.

I don't know either, all I know is that someone is always helping me when I get into trouble or if I am in danger, who ever this is must be all powerful. Is it God, I think so. This someone has saved my life at least 3 times that involved major auto accidents of which one accident I was thrown about 40 feet from the vehicle after going through the closed drivers window, and guess where I landed- in a church yard that had not mowed the lawn for about a month- a nice softer landing and the hospital released me the same night, when I don't have money to pay my bills money shows up from friends and family or other places when I have not asked.
Some one is looking out for me, I will always give the credit to God.

My dear Hindera.. , from your remarks I see that you not only have faith in god but you LOVE god too! Then why you bothered about other peoples wether believe in god or not. It seems that being some other person not believing in god will make you think other ways? It shouldn't be like that.
See, from ancient time people are fighting with each other for this only. I can't understand why people are so worried about other people, without thinking about theirselves?
Please don't mind, but its essential for you to continue the way you are already in. You certainly have not reached the ultimate goal. If you truely love him you will realize that nothing in this world can cause any trouble to your mind. You have just found the tip of a ice burg, dig in you will be wealthier! Best of luck!

Scientific and archaeological evidence shows that the Bible contains truth. The counsel from God's word is as reliable today as it was when written. I believe in the bible because it teaches us the best way of life and all about our God, Jehovah so that we understand He knows best. Jesus' human example of love is perfect for every person- children, husbands, wives, friends.... Like wise King Solomon said, 'The conclusion of the matter is... fear the true God and keep His commandments. For this is the whole obligation of man.' The important thing is to worship God HIS way!
