Gesundheit.

I say nothing when someone sneezes. If at all possible I continue on with the conversation. If not, in order to avoid the awkward silence, I will inquire about the sneezer's health or if he wants allergy medicine / tissues. But I never bless.

if I know the person, I say gesundtiet, or however you spell it. If I dont know them, I say nothing.

"god bless you" was started during a time when people thought the soul escaped the body when a sneeze occurred. Even if I were a christian, I still wouldn't say "GBS" because I dont believe the soul leaves the body when someone sneezes.

"Hey man, you're own your own with that one!" This is a direct comment that would allow an atheist to respond to a sneeze and perhaps create curiosity from the sneezer so you can perhaps have a meaningful conversation and learn about each other's values.

LMAO

I still say "Bless you" It's more of a figure of speach anyway.

Did you know that when you sneeze your heart actually stops for a moment?

I still say God bless you. But for you just say "Bless you." I can't believe it was that hard for an athiest to figure out.

Just "bless you". Xians don't have the exclusive rights to blessings. Even Satan blesses his own, funny guy.
