There has been many fanfiction across the net about real life celebrities and fictitious characters.

So is it wrong for someone to write fanfiction about a real celebrity, or a fictitious character known in a book or tv or movie, or both?

It is wrong to write fiction about a fictional character as that is copyright infringement. Only the creator of that character has the right to write about said character. As for writing about real celebrities... it isn't wrong but it certainly is lame.

Well ~ i really think its doesnt really wrong generally speaking because some people make money with it and living with it . For etiquette , i really think it does wrong especially if its a real celebrity .

Writting fanfiction actually invading one's life and as we all know words are spreading everywhere nowdays , if its about a good things then it wouldnt hurt . but if it is a bad thing then it is another thing , remember this someone's life might just get complicated and ruin from all the rumours that just been made up and all that just because someone write something like that.

But if its just a fictitious character , i dont really think it is wrong cause it wasnt even existed .

Well , but i think writting something like that is depends on oneself , if u think it is right then go ahead . If u think it is wrong then stop. Thats all.

Fictionalizing a living or fictictious character orcelebrity or even one who is deceased or writing ANYTHING about them should ALWAYS be checked out first for potential copyright infringement and to ensure no other issues with slander or libel.

It's not wrong unless you're accusing the of doing something or using libel and slander terms. .. same thing goes with campaign ads surprisingly

You have freedom of speech!
It is not wrong unless you libel or slander the celebrity.
