or should you address your prayers to all three?

Addressing any of the three is fine...

We believe God has revealed Himself to us in 3 persons. He can relate to us and show his love in all 3 ways.

Sometimes you might feel like a child who needs to talk with their Father.

Sometimes you might feel like you need to talk with your brother or Friend (Jesus)

And Jesus said he sent the Holy Spirit to this world to remind us of the things He said and taught. To empower us to over come. (John 15). You might need to directly ask the Holy Spirit for help or guidance.

So addressing God in any of the three is a good. And some times i end my prayers the same way Jesus gave the Great Commission...
"IN the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"

Hope that helps some

Jesus Loves You

Any validly baptized Christian is a member of the family, and can freely pray to he Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Since Jesus is also a man, and our official advocate and mediator, it's usually a good idea to run the heavy duty stuff past him first.

I pray to Jesus that He cleanse my Spirit and guard it from all that is evil, So that I may walk the righteous path in Holy Spirit with Our Father.

Since Jesus is our mediator, I always pray to Him. Since he did give his life for us. He lived down here he knows how hard it is for us.
