Last Sunday my sister was curious to find out what church was like and so she woke up early sunday morning and i heard commotion from the room next to mine (we're both 19 and live on our own but we cant afford our own apartments) and i woke up and told her where the f#ck do you think your going are you forgetting that we're atheist and she was like what i'm just curious to see how it is and then i told her get back here and she tells me no and goes into the kitchen and starts to make coffee as if shes going to church and i follow her into the kitchen and shut off the coffee machine and i tell her Stacy get back in that room your not going anywhere and i went and stood in front of the door so she couldnt get out and then she tells me why are you so controlling and i tell her i just want the best for you christianity is all lies we both know theres no god so get back in that room or i will destroy you. Do you think thats wrong i just want the best for Stacy and she just doesnt appreciate

What if the Bible was written by a group, only to put fear and control into others to keep everyone in line? Kind of like UFO's and all that jazz the government denies, imagine that if the government only stuck to this story that they may know the truth to, only because they fear the riot that would take place if there was proof God didn't exist.

when i dont find any reference in the bible to support this claim. it only says that she was a very beautiful woman who found inspiration in the teaching of jesus and became one of his followers. she was the first person to even speak to jesus when he rose from the dead. mary i believe was a great christian.
why do some christians brand this woman of great honor as a woman of ill repute when there is no evidence to support it in the bible?

Destroying friendships

Because of homosexuality or fear of being seen as a homosexual, it seems that same sex people cant be close friends like they use to. If I go up a guy friend and tell him I love him it is taboo in society. If two girls walk down the street holding hands its assumed that they must be gay or something, though girls used to do this all the time.

Destroying the diversity of types.

It seems like its impossible for a young boy to be polite, kind, a good student, dress neatly, and be respectful of women unless he is pushed into thinking he is gay. And likewise it seems everything a girl shows a little bit of toughness and leadership she is pushed by society into believing she must be gay. So we are being left with nothing but men who think acting like a neanderthal defines straightness and women who think the only way to be a real girl is to be a girly girly pink wearing princess.

I am a M2F transsexual and know I am an awesome person inside/out. What appears to be hard is the fact that in my home town everyone ends up knowing my past and seems not interested in any form of relationship other then just being friends. I am young, smart, and think I look attractive enough and yet I can see no light with having a good relationship. What should I do to find someone who I can have a relationship with?

P.S. The relationship I want is with a man.

I am in a commited gay relationship with a great guy. We have talked about adopting, I just wonder when is the right time. We both have great jobs and we both are level headed and goal oriented. I meditate a few nights a week before I go to bed.
I have some very soothing songs on my iPod and I relax my entire body. I close my eyes and reflect on the day and where my life is going.
Usually what happens is that my arms and legs grow very numb and stiff. It actually is quite comfortable. Is this common in mediation?
Are there stages of mediation? (something happens and then this happens and then this happens and so on.)
I am looking to dig deeper into this powerful spirituality technique.
