This is a complex question. I think free and easy sex is what is destroying intimacy, true love and families. Homosexuality has always been part of our society and always will be. We cannot legislate it out of existence. It is not the cause of society's demise. It is the devaluation of women into sex toys and the demand that men be "more sensitive" that is turning us inside out.
Women have become a strength in the economy but the consequence of this is a dramatic drop in the birth rate by educated and articulate female members of society. The breeders that have many children are the uneducated, the poor, the disenfrachised, and the stupid. These are our children for tomorrow.
homosexuality is not the disease....it is ignorance and sex without regard to the purpose of intercourse....reproduction. We have gone too far in libertarianism and I fear the backlash might be fascism. Whatever happened to freedom and choice. Is that not what America is all about?

Not destroying, but it is definitely causing the scenario you mentioned in your question. Yes, I even saw it. I came thru a guy who was polite and respectful to others and talked in low voice. Some people thought he is a gay. So F*ing ignorant. Why the hell it is gay if a guy talks politely, respects girls, dresses neatly and be kind?
The answer is, we are now in last days. Being good and honest is real tough. If a guy is shy, or introvert, he is pushed into thinking that he is a gay. If a girl tries to dominate among other girls it is considered gay. Well, I think if our society doesn't get rid of this horrible mentality the it is indeed going to destroy natural relationships.
Good question, based on reality. I appreciate it.

I don't think it's helped any, but times have also changed too.
Back when I was a girl if a man got a woman knocked up, it was assumed that they would soon be married...even if it was a shotgun wedding. (At least where I came from, there'd better dang well be a marriage)
Now these days it's no big deal if a woman becomes pregnant and is living with a guy. I'm finding more and more that now the babies are born first, then maybe a wedding a few months or years down the road, it's rarely before the baby is born anymore.
So, I don't think it's totally the fault of homosexulality completely, it's more about about sexual freedom and how people see things today.

First of all define society. After looking that up realize that all the actions and idiosyncracies of the people in that society actually MAKE up the society. What is destroying your idea of society is the increase of global communication and media mediums. Your not seeing a degradation of societal values. Your hearing more aspects of your society. The human race has always been perverse. Homosexuality has been around since Greece and Sodom and Gamora. Alexander the Great was gay supposedly. What is destroying your image of your society is the increased knowledge of your society. There is no Nirvana. There is no paradise. Society is the reflection of the natures of its demographic. Find paradise within that society and stop watching television, stop reading the news mediums, and stop listening to the radio. You will be blind and dumb to the world and blissfully happy.

I think pedophilia is more harmful to society. I have been at the point where if I see a little child crying in the store because he or she is lost, I actually second guess going up to them because I'm worried the parent will see me and think I was trying to kidnap their child. I'm only %100 comfortable if my children are with me. It's horrible. We can't give hugs to scared children, can't give them treats of any kind, we can't even give them a pat on the back without worry. I completely understand what you are saying about homosexuality though. I don't tell my best friend I love her and I don't really get too close to her because she has had a lesbian experience before. She's married now, but I still get uncomfortable sometimes.

If we learn anything from history, heterosexuality has proven to be the strong force in the world. How many homosexuals do you see leading a country? Or functioning in any important office or position without reprecussions? When a politician is outed, notice how much upheaval it causes. Society is not as prone to acceptance of any veering from the normal as some would like them to be. It will be a cold day in hell when homosexuality is totally accepted by anyone - spirit or human!
As for manners or strength shown by a particular gender, it is a shame that etiquette has gone by the wasteside. Someone should have thought about manners and being proper long before they started coming out of their closets. Did they really expect things to be in their favor? People don't take to change very easily - much less a new way of life completely adverse to normal living.

Homosexuality is not a danger to society. People's reactions to it, such as the Question suggests, are the problem.
If I see two guys embrace, I do not think "homosexual" right off. It takes a special kind of person to think that way. The same sort of people who insist that "Happy Feet" is somehow a tale about homosexuality.
How homophobic do you have to be to have "Penguin Gaydar"?

I would say that these things you have described are only the first levels of confusion that homosexuality has caused, and that it has progressed quite a bit further than just that at this point. I mean, how is it that it's being considered a respectable item for debate, whether or not a male should be allowed to 'marry' another male? Or a female another female? And what's more is that they are raising children?? It makes me want to vomit just to think of it. And it is so widespread, that my comment may actually get deleted for being 'offensive'? The paradigm has shifted over night in America. We now have Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the country, openly supporting the radical homosexual agendas, by funneling money that they made off of the general American populace into groups that are lobbying for gay marriage rights. These groups are very agressive, and intend to make their ungodly deeds open and 'acceptable' in our society.

It's always been that way, especially in adolesence, because kids can be cruel. Basically you go with the flow, act neanderthal and get a thumbs-up from your so-called peers. But if you see some gay person being harassed, stand up for them. People will respect you for that. Don't worry about masculinity so much, let your girlfriend be the judge of that.

I am female. I am a Sergeant in the Army. I wear pants and feel award in a dress and naked in a short skirt. I still love my husband and have never once been attracted to another woman in any sexually manner.
Homosexuality and bisexuality are harmless to society.
Close-minded homophobes are the ones destroying society and relationships.
Lesbians, gays, and bi-s all seem to realize that I am straight when they see me. It's always another straight person that seems to get confused and call me 'sir' or ask 'what's it like to be a dyke in the Army. I'd say a good 90%+ were homophobes...
