I've seen people open the cap of the teapot open and leave it at the end of the table when they want a refill of their hot tea. Is that how you ask for a refill of hot tea in Chinese culture? Also, why do the waitpersons/servers make so much noise when they are putting the dishes away, etc? Is it better to make more noise?

My friends are talking to me into having faith and God and Lord Jesus Christ. They want me to be with Jesus in Heavan as well to be saved. But I am not for sure because I am not that religion. and I cussed all the time and I thought that I am not fit in this religion belief. But I repesct God and never use His name in vain...

People throw quotes but don't look at the whole picture. Example, Thomas Jefferson said, " The reason that Christianity is the best friend of government is because Christianity is the only religion that changes the heart." Quotes can go back & forth on most people but we all know Jefferson rejected Christ's divinity.

People talk about the Treaty of Tripoli but never use the whole paragraph & only the one sentence. That arguement can go back and forth but what does that have to do with the Founding Fathers?

To not like religion isn't the same as not being a Christian. To not like a "system" doesn't mean you denounce Christ.

Who were the founding fathers really? I think most were Christian. Not the same type as I am but a form of Christianity non the less.

The definition of "atheist" usually states that we are those that DENY the existence of [other people's] god(s). Then naturally it's verbalized that way in society as well...

I just find the "deny" thing a bit offending, am I the only one that feels that way or are others irritated by it as well?

It just seems to automatically insinuate that "of course we're wrong"... would others not be mad if the believer definitions were made to insinuate that they were wrong?

ok the other nite my daughters 3 and 5 woke up screaming like a nightmare both at once they were together anyways i already believe there are ghosts in the house did they wake them up or was it something bad they didn't remember the next day but my 5 year old always talks about her friend ghost any ideas?

I am being haunted by the Purpose Driven Life Books by Rick Warren. I see the word Purpose wherever I go. They have sermon after sermon where they coincidentaly say EXACT quotes from the book. They put the books on special display at stores. My sister's teddy bear she got for Christmas is named "Purpose". I've seen PDL stuff written on bathroom walls for crying out loud! WHY IS IT HAUNTING ME?!

I went to get the vaccuum cleaner from underneath the stairs where we have a closet. Christmas has passed and we have exchanged gifts and done the same to all of the rellies and i even got given the same things from my partner for christmas. Its very feminine ladies evelyn and crabtree luxury soap and a really nice box of choccies from haighs. I know its not for me or the rellies. And obviously he didnt want it to be seen by me on christmas morning because it wasnt under the tree it was in a chocolate bag under the stairs????
