Well, you need to take pause and figure out what you want to happen here. If he IS cheating on you and you confront him, the relationship may be over. You can ignore it, confront him, throw it in the trash, ask around to his friends for information, etc. Some women even go so far as to hire a private detective. But you never know - maybe there really is an explanation for this. If both gifts are the exact same thing you got, maybe he bought it at a 2 for 1 discount and just didn't want you to know he got a cheapo gift. Hard to say, but think hard about the outcome of your actions before you do anything.
Best of luck.

There is always the possibility that he was going to spring it on you New Years.
From a guys perspective, soap is something I would give to a woman that I would have no romantic involvement with. Could be an older relative or mystery Santa. If you give soap to someone, does that mean you don't like the way they take care of themselves as far as personal hygiene? They might feel insulted by the gift... Throw in some chocolates just in case.
You tell him that you found the chocolates under the stairs and it didn't taste that bad.. Watch the look on his face and then call him out on it to find out who they were for.

Is it possible that he simply forgot they were under there? I had so many things hidden, I forgot a few things and I consider myself organized. Just ask him and don't linger with it. Be sure to start the New Year with it cleared up - one way or another. I disagree that soap is not a personal gift; or fitting for a "mystery Santa". I think it's very personal.

Sounds like he should have been on Santa's Naughty list. I would show it to him and confront him with it. I would also have his stuff packed or a moving company coming(with him paying the bill) to get his stuff right after the conversation. The "partner" would be like his extra gift, only a memory by the end of the day. I would also make sure he did NOT take the "gift" with him,I would burn it. Sorry this happened to you,but hope you have a Happy Prosperous New Year

Move the package, put it in your closet, in your dresser drawer. Then vacum the floor and leave the vacum in front of his chair. When he comes home ask him to put it away. Watch his expression when he opens the door. If he puts it up like nothing then I would think maybe the gifts were for you and he forgot where he put them, but if he jumps and acts wierd the rest of the night then when you go to bed I would get out the chocolates, especially if they are gift wrapped and climb in bed with him and open them. Either he will freak out and ask were you found them, meaning he hid them to good or he will act stupid then confront him about who they are for. I know men are good at hiding stuff and forgeting were. It was two months after my birthda before my hubby found my gift he hid in the closet. I knew it was there but it was more fun watching him look.

Ask him about them. Simply tell him you found them in the cupboard and want to know who they are for. It is better to be straight forward about these matters so neither of you looks foolish if it really was an innocent mistake.

Perhaps he bought them for you once then forgot where he hid them. My partner is always losing things. Just be straight up and ask him where they're from. And let us all know what happened!

Maybe its for you and he forgot about it or for another time.Wait and see if you get it at the new year. If I found something for another girl I'd deliver it myself.
