In spanish, the words volver, devolver, and regresar all mean "to return"?
What's the difference between their definitions? Or are they synonyms?

33% of the world is Christian. 67 % of the world is all the other religions and atheism/agnostic.

So of that 33%, how many are considered "saved". An exagerated estimate of 10% are the fundamentalists. It may be less.

So that leaves 90% of every human alive right now how will go to hell according to the fundies.

How many Christians agree with this? How many Christians feel that God does not care which road that you take to Him, or if you take no road.

ive believed, ever since i was young, that Creationism and evolution CAN corespond if scientists would try hard enough.

the theory is simple. God makes/is the big bang technically creating the world and universe. in the "seven days" which can basically be any sort of time period, the earth is created, inhabitted and humans have evolved.

any other ideas, theories etc that could add or subtract from this are appreciated.

The Treaty of Tripoli, passed by the U.S. Senate in 1797, read in part: "The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion." The treaty was written during the Washington administration, and sent to the Senate during the Adams administration. It was read aloud to the Senate, and each Senator received a printed copy. This was the 339th time that a recorded vote was required by the Senate, but only the third time a vote was unanimous (the next time was to honor George Washington). There is no record of any debate or dissension on the treaty. It was reprinted in full in three newspapers - two in Philadelphia, one in New York City. There is no record of public outcry or complaint in subsequent editions of the papers.

It says that all the mentioned abominations such as these are cause for God to stone you to death. So all-loving isn't he?

John 11 : 51 - 53 states : He did not say this on his own, but since he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation, and not only for the nation, buit also to gather into one of the dispersed children of God. So from that day on they planned to kill him.

Do you realize what this says? The high preist knew what Jesus' death would bring and ordered it - for the result. Do you agree that this is a piece of the larger plan? That it all served a higher purpose? If you do not see that, you must be blind. See how it all fits in? How Everything has it's place? Thoughts and opinions.

None of us are responsible for Eve's sin. Eve isn't even completely responsible, as she was tricked into it by the talking snake that God created and put in the garden. If I had a tree I didn't want anyone touching, I certainly wouldn't put a snake there that encouraged whoever came by to eat from the tree. Seems like God is responsible for that.

And, for our own sins, isn't realizing you were wrong, feeling sorry, and mending your ways the proper way to improve yourself and prevent the sin in the future? And not crucifying your Messiah? How does human sacrifice redeem us for our mistakes?

Please, don't respond with Bible quotes. I've read the Bible from front to back, and it does not address this. I'm interested in what you have to say.

I just read that the complex theological relationship between Christianity and Judaism is the root of the problem. European anti-Semitism first became a major force in medieval times, and culminated centuries later in the Nazi death camps. Why do the Muslim people feel negative toward Jews in Israel?

Just watched "A Haunting" on TDC. Seems like every episode is about a haunted house in Connecticut. I've lived here all my life and never saw no ghost... A lot of people I know say they have however...
Anyone know a town in CT that is NOT documented or rumored to have ghosts in it?

I want to know what motivates You. And You to explain what is most important to You.
Me? I don't give a rip about fame, or prestige. I know that I have to give account to God for my actions. I have often felt empty, and also realize that life is about what You do for others. Everything else dies with You.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't have it right in front of me, so I can't cite chapter and verse, but those of you who know your Bibles shouldn't have much trouble finding the relevant scriptures... Both incidents describe David numbering the people and getting in trouble with God over it. But, one book of the Bible says GOD ordered David to number the people (and then punished him!), while ANOTHER book says SATAN instigated David's action!!! If you read the description, there's no way it was two different episodes - everything is identical except for who gets credit/blame for manipulating David into sinning (evidently, numbering the people was a sin). Well...?
