Kangaroos, Crocodile Dundee, and a beautiful place that resembles America 200 years ago --full of clean air, hope and promise....

I hope this is right, and if it isn't, don't burst my bubble!

My mind receives a collage of images when I think of Australia.

When I hear 'Australia,' I think of bearded dragons roaming across the hot, sandy outback...

...slow-moving venomous snakes stealthily nearing their prey...

...the Dream Time, and a scantily clad Aboriginal family performing a traditional ritual with some bug food...

...and the wonderfully-shaped, modern day Sydney Opera House and the beautiful surrounding waters and city buildings.

Kangaroos and koalas in the Queensland Australia Zoo also come to mind. Australia also has some of the most amazing, breath-taking beach shores you've ever seen, so I also think of those when I hear the word "Australia."

I've been there so I think of the people I know and the things I've seen and done there. Before I had friends there and visited for myself, I would have said: The Crocodile Hunter, G'Day Mate, and kangaroos and koala bears!
