Educate our children and ourselves for that matter.

Read the constitution, books on the early wars and how they started and why we fought. How about reading the bible as well since most of the constitution was based on it.

Get the pride out and trade it for humility. Get the "freedom" out and trade it for doing what's right....then we would have much more respect and freedom. True freedom is not the right to do whatever you feel like doing, it is the opportunity to choose to do what is right. Those who exercise lawlessness, even within the bounds of the law, will lose their freedom even when free under the law.

Catch up to the more progressive societies in the world on an educational level. Remove anything with even remotely religious overtones from the school system. We are becoming a laughing stock to more enlightened countries.

Pride, not sure if this would be the first consideration, but FREEDOM, well, the first step would be to get rid of the Nazi-like President and Vice-President now in the White House....how can we think highly of ourselves when our leaders (that we did not choose, I might add) are liars, cheats, pilferers and despicable human beings only interested in personal greed?

New leadership, pride in our actions, and GET OUR INNOCENT BOYS home ---I'm ashamed of what our leaders have done to the innocent lives of this country, in the name of personal profit.
