I predict that the cognitive dissonance the 'psychics' find between the spiritual, peaceful image of themselves and the reality of their intense fury will result in more delusion and attempts to hide it under a veil of wishing me peace and love. I also predict that projection will be used.

I do not celebrate christmas...for many reasons. I personally boycott the cumpulsory spending spree our culture goes into even moreso this time of year. But I cannot control other's spending which leaves me in a bind. I do not shop but occasionally I get gifts, most which is just "stuff" I don't want. I do consider the time and effort involved and do not turn down anything anyone made ie cooked or handcrafted. I already have a houseful of things and do not need more. I warn everyone I know that I do not wish gifts for xmas but a few still seep through. How do I gracefully refuse them? Should I just donate the items or do I stand my ground and flat out refuse to accept it?

Ok the wiccan creed, I know it isn't exaclty called a creed but i can't remember at the moment, basically says as long as you aren't bringing harm to anyone, including yourself, do as you will. So does this mean that you do keep harmful spells, or can do them?

What things, however small, make it Christmas for you, and would not be the same without?

My husband and I are hardworking folks who by the grace of God are in of need very little.
We have performed random acts of kindness from time to time, but we have not been aware of many bestowed upon us until last night.
Two people we vaguely know knocked at the door and presented us with a holiday fruit basket. It wasn't much, just a small basket of mixed fruit and nuts.
Taken quite by surprise, we thanked the couple, placed the basket on the table next to the door and went back to our respective chairs to watch television.
My eyes kept going back to the fruit basket. What a kind, thoughtful thing to do. What had made those people give us a gift? It seemed strange that anyone would think of us. Didn't they have a party to attend or gifts to wrap?
Tears came into my eyes. Everyone is needy from time to time and this gift was a way to remind us that others do care.
Every gift, no matter how small, makes a huge impact on the recipient.
Suddenly my world seems much brighter!

I just spotted this, and wondered whether anyone from Answers will be there. (I will not, but I cheer on partying as an art form.)

Check out the following situations:

1. You believe in God & God exists.
2. You believe in God & God does not exists.
3. You don't believe in God & God does not exists.
4. You don't believe in God & God exists.

Of all the options above only #4 is a horrible outcome.

You do realize that by not believing in God, you are reducing your odds greatly?

I am not trying to say that anyone's religion is right or wrong. I am just curious about how others view there own faiths as different from the others.

One thing that I do want to know is whether people stick with the religion their parents gave them at birth or if they converted or something like that.

In your explanation of why you follow the faith that you accept, please explain the rationale as to why YOU follow that religion. Please do not try to convert others in your response. I just want to know about what YOU believe, not what you want others to believe.

Tony Robbins is no God- but i know a few people who have become highly impressioned by him. Because he draws crowds of thousands to him, people listen and live by his 'guided' way. When I gave the same advice to my friend, he ignored me- now he can't stop repeating what Tony Robbins said at the seminar- I'm saying- 'That's what i told you years ago!' Anyone found that alot of people will listen to a nobody in their lives before they see the light?

I also predict that there's someone answering this question who has lost someone whose name begins with an A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, R, S, or T. And I'm getting the feeling that it was either a man or a woman. And, don't worry, this person is telling you that they're fine and they love you and that they'll be waiting for you. Please send me lots of money if I've fulfilled your hopes and dreams. Send it to: asuckerisborneveryminute@makemoneybytellingpeoplewhattheywantohear.com
