Didn't Jesus say not to worship him. He believed in the Judaic tradition of not worshipping graven images. Why do people keep changing the rules but insist that what was written in the Bible is gospel. I thought Jesus came to clarify things not give peole excuses to make up new rules

At Christmastime, we sing Advent carols celebrating the birth of Christ. Is there any similiar musical work in the Muslim world? I'm interested in anything celebrating God, specifically.

God told Adam & Eve they will die if they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Gen 2:16-17)
Satan told them they will not die but be like god, knowing good and evil. (Gen 3:4-5)

They ate the fruit, they did not die like god had told them but knew the difference between good & evil like satan had told them.

Could there be more lies?

My science teacher said that we evolve from some sort of a Ape , and something about the adaptation , survival , facing natures severity learning skills and love to the children has bring us to this stage. ( something about Charles Darwin, ) But my friend told me that we are made from clay balls, and a past0r told me that we are from Adam and eve, the world is made in six days. like magic illusion in Harry Potter...I'm confuse . . I feel like its better to study the easy path..The clay ball story or six day creation. So I can just simply write the bible content to my science exam. The god is powerfull and he made the world in 6days . end of story!!! But . .
I want to be a science person to help the cancer researches or AIDS researches. Plus to make a solar powered hovercraft to carry people across the oceans... what should I follow? The dumb priest or the science teacher?

Do you think it is possible that the bible was meant for the Jews only? And if so where does that leave the rest of us?

"God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealer." (Quran, 60:8)
The prophet Muhammed (pbuh) used to prohibit soldiers from killing women and children, and he would advise them: (...Do not betray, do not be excessive, do not kill a newborn child.) And also said: ( Whoever has killed a person having a treaty with Muslims shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fagrance is found for a span of forty years.)
Also, the Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) has forbidden punishment with fire. He once listed murder as the second of the major sins, (Muslims are encourged to be kind to animals and forbidden to hurt them. The act of inciting terror in the hearts of defensive civilians, the wholesale destruction of buildings and properties, the bombing and maiming of innocent civilians are all forbidden and detestable acts according to Islam and the Muslims.

I have begun to question religion once more. I am begining to find it difficult to see how a God/dess can fit within our universe. Religions seem always to be someone trying to expain the universe, and are always manmade. Science seems to have the right idea. Though, I still believe in dragons, magick, spirits, and reincarnation. I think it's time to go back to atheism.

What do the Wiccans think?

What do the Atheists think?

Is there such a thing as a religion with no god?

My theories for anti-Americanism are:

1.Various government's deflecting attention away from their corruption and ineffectual leadership by rallying their brainwashed citizens behind a policy of "America's to blame for everything".This applies on a smaller level as well (lax gun laws in America=Toronto murders?)

2.Leftist ideology which believes that America is responsible for every conflict and human rights catastrophe in the world today no matter how irrational and contradictory those claims are.[ie. Darfur,Rwanda (inaction)-Iraq (intervention)]

3.Using America as a scapegoat is a bandwagon many people can't resist. It mask their ignorance of the major issues facing the world because it provides pre-packaged "cut-and-paste" answers for complicated matters they otherwise wouldn't understand.

4.Faux ultra-nationalism.

"Lord, make me a channel of Thy Peace -- that where there is hatred, I may bring Love -- that where there is wrong, I may bring the Spirit of Forgiveness -- that where there is discord, I may bring Harmony -- that where there is error, I may bring Truth -- that where there is doubt, I may bring Faith -- that where there is despair, I may bring Hope -- that where there are shadows, I may bring Light -- that where there is sadness, I may bring Joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to Comfort than to be comforted -- to Understand, than to be understood -- to Love, than to be loved. For it is by self-forgetting that one finds. It is by forgiving that one is forgiven It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life."

Happy Holy Days

Blessings to All

Peace and Love
