Hi
Racism in the uk has actually got worse for asians and less worse for blacks in my opinion. I mean its expected after the bombings. But i dont think its fair when half the asians in uk are condemning the attacks. Suicide and hurting yourelves/others is not allowed in Islam.
I know there are sikhs and Hindus and even athiests here in uk and just because the y have same colour as muslims and may seem muslim to white people they get abused too. There are more muslim women getting raped and children being attacked by dogs (which are set by white youngsters) 2 childrens and about 2 teenagers have been attcked by dogs and salvaged and died. this is just in my area.
2 elderly ladies were attacked on the bus by 2 huge white men. and girls raped for being muslim or wearin islamic dressing.

I have been abused in the streets by white females and mens and youngsters. The reamianing white families thatwere living in this peaeful town have or are moving out, which is reall ybad because we need a mixed community. we do not want our kids to grow up not knowing what other religions exist.
its unhealthy for the country.
I wish white people would ask rather than critisise and abuse. Its not fair on the other mogority who are safe and peacefull muslims.
My family has always got on with white people and white families have lives here with them for years in the same town, but now there are only some few living here in my area.
please dont critises or abuse us, just ask, we are on the same boat as you. Im 25 and never knew about suicide bombing and asked question to our Imams but were ussered that no such thing exists in our religion and only lives in the SHEAS RELIGION. Who believe that if you die this way so re a martyr, but COME ON IS THAT REAL. WE ALL KNOW ITS NOT REAL.
YOU DONT GET 72 VIRGINS THIS WAY

If you are killed on the strees for your religion, you are classed as a martyr and you get 72 virgins.

Hope this helps people to open thier eyes abit.

peace and love

Hello,

Answer, here in the UK generally speaking racism isnt the same kind of burning or intense high level issue that it remains in the USA.

Here in the UK racism takes a different form & this is due to our own special history. Some of our racism here in the UK comes as a result of once having had a large empire i.e. the British Empire and with alot of small colonies over seas. And from our country having been involved in the slave trade. Once the british empire had largely dissolved, we ended up with susessive waves of immagration from ex-colonies and this is when racism first became noticable.

Racism in the UK takes a more low key and more subtle forms. We DONT have the extreme, ongoing & intense issues of racism or black & whites divisions seen in the USA.

**The USA seems like a dreadfully racist culture to me, & it also suprises me that it remains so divided even now.

when I lived there it became a difficulty. I lived there a while in the past yet its nonetheless in contrast to residing right here. the place do you reside in u.s.? this is the question. distinctive states, right here in u.s., have distinctive vibes on race. you're able to be in MA and nonetheless sense the segregation there, or you're able to be in DC and not sense it in a similar way in any respect. this is to no longer say that distinctive variety of it do no longer exist systemically so . So in what regard are you speaking approximately racism? Getting a activity, an house, strolling down the line and being risk-free? what? Plus once you're saying uk do you advise the entire of the united kingdom? Im no longer attempting to be humorous asking you that, i'm basically attempting to be sure the place you're making plans to be so which you're able to correctly be attentive to what to assume. My adventure is in line with being born and in part starting to be up in England. Is that the place you're speaking approximately? Scotland and eire are distinctive i'm beneficial. Are you of a race this is oftentimes discriminated against.

Racism exists everywhere and it's not too different in the UK, as the UK is the HIGHEST FILMED (digital video) country on earth. It is said that out of ones day, you're on camera about 75% of the time. Most racism is perputuated by gangs only their called FIRMS and most firms are closely associated with the local football (soccer club). It's not uncommon for the Football hooligan, stereotypes are changing they're not all skinheads, BUT the major black areas of London when playing say a major white team, usually erupts in some type of violence afterwards, AND that type of racisms lends itself to terrible violence. If you get a chance they're are a couple of superb films that dictate different forms of racism. One believe it or not is called Bend it Like Beckham and it shows the father's hurt and distate for the English cricket clubs, because his Punjabi Indian and "they sent him packing like dog" just for wearing his turban. Another HUGE form of Racism is the distrust, and actual hatred of the Indian, Pakistani, etc. peoples by the whitebread "blokes' who after a tear at the local scrubadub (a night of drinking at the bar) are quite the proper idiots and love to start some shite as they say, ergo, anyone of Indian extract, especially the word PAKI which is akin to the word ****** here, is very, very one of those fightting words. However, when it's all said and done the firms (the football hooligans) usually cause the most trouble, However it's NOTHING compared to the outright violence in say Berlin. But it's nothing for say a West Ham United supporter to to right over to Drogba (a superb black player for Chelsea) and call him every name in the book since the fans are literally almost right on the pitch (the field) another superb movie outlining this is called the Green Street Hooligans, starting our favourite hobbit Frodo (Eliah Wood) who learns a very, very terrifying lesson about friendship, out of control anger, and it's sad almost the person he becomes inthe end, although in a good way he's no longer afraid of his shite Harvard roommate, but it's an intense film. Another film about sexism or gay rage is called "my beautiful laundrette" with the usually superb Gary Oldman, although these are films they do represent the problems of racism in the UK, but I'm interested in why the UK unless you're planning on school they're in which you won't even see anything at Oxford,Eaton, etc. you're so isolated, I mean Oxford alone has close to 200 colleges (they're IS NO college called oxford, the most famous is Christchurch by the bridge of sighs, etc.and some lovely old builds, Eaton academy is also lovely. IF you're interested in Racsims visit Florida, alabama, hell MICHIGAN, it's everywhere, and it's taught and it's NOT COOL, the first child of mine who uses the "N" word goes throught the wall...I'll cover him in pillows of course, but I will put my size 12 right in that POOP SHOOT, usually firms in UK are more intertested in getting a bloke off his game than truly being a shite, although it is ramapant, scary, and NOT COOL..so if youdo visit, smile, you're on camera...JUST DRINK but KNOW WHERE THE HELL YOU ARE..NEVER walk into a HIGH STREET PUB wear MANU shite...you'll lose your teeth...aways ask a local.."WHAT KIT SHOULD I SPORT MATE" and they'll tell you.

Racism in the UK was always worse han what it was like in Apatheid South Africa. Having lived in Apatheid for three years and not ever been victimised in the street, I was verbally about within the first few hours of my arrival in Scotland to go to university. I was called words I had never heard before and had to ask someone what the matter was.

I visited the USA on several ocasions and have never expreience any other than their stupid obsession with demanding tips for services. I won't pay tips so we fell out. Racist words then escaped their mouths.

Historically they have been better with it.
They freed their slaves a good 58 years before we did, and they didn't have Jim Crow laws or any of that or a white nationalist movements working to destroy the minorities in their nation (The Know Nothing Party,KKK), but they do have issues, like every country.
It's tit for tat, but I'll say they're better with it over all.
