He'd probably join in - I seem to recall that according to all the rubbish written about it all that they were a tad fond of the wine!
Happy Christmas!

He knows this is NOT his birthday, He was born in the fall as history proves. December 25 is actually the day Tammuz was born. His mother was Semiramis, Nimrod's wife. Nimrod died and Semiramis made him a god, so to speak, and people believed it and worshipped him as the sun god. Then Tammuz was born and Semiramis told people this was because she had been with Nimrod, her husband, the sun god. On and on and on...and Tammuz became bigger than Nimrod. So to me, December 25 is a very big insult to Jesus to say it is His birthday or celebrate it that way! It is the actual birth date of a sun god! Not the Son of God. Also, just a side note, as most should know, all these manger scenes with the 3 wise men? Not so. They did not appear until a couple years later when He was a young child, not a babe. Only the shepherds were there. How things get twisted and turned throughout history.

He disapproves now, but as he said when he was here, " In vain they do worship me teaching for doctrine the commandments of men."
The bible is full of passages condemning pagan practice and saying it is for God. Jer. 10 has a specific condemnation on decorating the tree and the Hebrews did this to honor God, but it came from pagans so they were condemned for doing so.
If the bible is right then very few will be saved. There will be many who are shocked on the day of Judgment because they thought they served Jesus, but he Will say depart from me you evil doers, I never knew you.

He would either be very upset, or just shake his head & wonder at the ways of the world. He would probably look at places in the Middle East - his homeland - & wonder why there was so much fighting & ill-will there now.

He already KNOWS what goes on at Christmas because He watched us from heaven. But if He didn't know beforehand, I don't think He would be surprised. He knows what the world is like and that people would either resent the holiday because it forces them to be religious or they would make the holiday about something else that they would rather think about. What's important is not what the world or what the majority is doing at Christmas, but what Christians and people who claim to be His followers are doing.

December 25 was not his birthday. Well.... There is a 1:365 chance that it was.

He does not have to come back to see what is going on. He already knows. I pray that God is pleased with how I celebrate His birthday.

He'd certainly be sad about some of the most tacky commercialization, but I hope he would also be flattered that so many people put so much into his birthday party. Wouldn't you?

I believe that he would definitely do the same as he did when he was alive. He would treat it the same way as he did when he entered the marketplace and called it a 'Den of Thieves'.
