Hi, my husband's company is hosting their annual holiday reception (evening party). Will it be OK if I wear the traditional Indian sari for the event? The comapany has a good mix of foreign nationals and the sari is considered to be 'formal' attire in India. Please help with sincere opinions, do I stay ordinary with the regular party dress/suit or can look different in a sari?
Thanks and Merry X-mas, happy holidays!

I saw you answer a question and I tried to e-mail you and your unlisted. People can't talk to you about your veiws so you can stay ignorant... your a coward and still wearing a hood. Stay in the dark if you want, but your still going to be a computer bound hermit with no education.

What about all of the animals that were discovered and named more recently? Did Adam not get to those ones before the fall?

Given the recent way of putting Christians down... the upsurge of people bent on removing Christ from Christmas celebrations... all the media hype about our schools outlawing the Christian message.

About banning the age old Nativity play that most people over forty took part in, being banned because of mixed races... where do you stand on this issue?

This is not a religious question... it's a general one.. to get the feel of 'real' change, inside today's UK society... as opposed to those who jump on the bandwaggon of the media's say so, that Christian's are being driven out.

Are you for Christ this Christmas?

Or are we really the Godless and Christian bashing society, we are being geared into believing?

I don't mind what your views are... so please, no abusive postings about believers from the sceptics... and no bible quotes of scripture, from Christians.

It's my own small survey as a Christian, so you'll know exactly where I stand;-)

Curiouser and curiouser??

I am content in knowing that Jesud died for me and I know I have a personal realtionship with God.

But I am not sastified with my realtionship with the Lord. I want to learn more, grow more become more and continue to over come.
Is this normal to be that way and to want more in a spiritual sense?

What is your take on this?

I just performed my first random act of kindness. There is a Salvation Army bell ringer at a local store. This man is always full of the holiday spirit and spreads it to all that pass by him...and he does this 8 to 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. (He's an older gentleman and retired, I think.) Something like that impresses me, especially with all the hustle and bustle of the season that is upon us. So today, I went to McDonalds and bought a gift card and put $7 on it. I presented it to this man and said "Thanks for your holiday kindness...lunch is on me." That was so awesome!! He was surprised and so thankful. That just made my day : )

So, the challenge is this...why not do something for someone else? It could be as simple as carrying groceries for the little lady next door...it doesn't matter. The point is, do something nice for someone. I would like to see some of these acts talked about here...nothing hateful or dirty, serious answers only!!!

Happy Holidays everyone!!

My pal Stan admits he believes the 4 year figure is correct, but sees no need to 'panic', as he claims "they" have built LNG terminals on all three of our coasts. But how do we get Liquid Natural Gas when our natural gas wells are depleted? Could 'they' have fallen into the same trap that most of us have? -- Natural gas has been with most of us our entire lives; it seems inconceivable that it should one day (soon?) be depleted.

Isn't it time humankind reduces its 'footprint' on the planet by the fairly simple method of the one-child family? Acceptance of such a drastic change in public policy will surely take time (ask the Chinese!), so it seems like a race between reducing population to sustainable levels and the depletion of the fossil fuels.

Maybe giving 'prefence points' as to jobs, travel, housing, travel, etc to those who are willing to cooperate would pay off. Any other ideas??

My friend recently past her driver's test and now she is fully licensed! She really appreciates homemade gifts so I wanted to bake her a cake. I wanted to make and oreo chocolate cake and decorate it with a mini road (using frosting) and a mini car (using a small toy) and write "congratulations" on the cake. Is this a good idea?

YUSUFALI: O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.
PICKTHAL: O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three" - Cease! (it is) better for you! - Allah is only One Allah. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.
SHAKIR: O followers of the Book! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth; the Messiah, Isa son of Marium is only a messenger of Allah and His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His messengers, and say not, Three. Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one Allah; far be It from His glory that He should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, and Allah is sufficient for a Protector.
