I am content in knowing that Jesud died for me and I know I have a personal realtionship with God.

But I am not sastified with my realtionship with the Lord. I want to learn more, grow more become more and continue to over come.
Is this normal to be that way and to want more in a spiritual sense?

What is your take on this?

Absolutely, from the day we accept Jesus as our Savior, until the day we see Him face to face with should strive to be more Christlike every day. How can we be more Christlike without studying the Word of God? We can't.

Your relationship with the Lord will be strengthed beyond imagination if you do the things you have stated.

You are totally normal. If you are always just content- you will probably become lukewarm or bored. First, are you in a church where you feel fed? If not, find one that helps you go to the next level. Prayer, of course takes you to a new place of intamacy with the Lord. Put on christian music and just "soak in His presence". Pray and then wait for the Lord to speak to you. Learning to understand the still small voice of the Lord was huge in helping me grow in my walk. Of course you also need to be in the Word. When you read something that hits your spirit stop and ask God about it. Why are You showing me this? What do You want me to learn? You get new revelation doing that.
WORSHIP AND PRAISE our Father in Heaven, not in the traditional standing up in the pew kind of way (althought there is nothing wrong with that). Put on some good Christian music and dance (even if you don't think you are very good at it) Dance, sing, pray, love Him.Try listening to Jason Upton or music from IHOP (international house of prayer), David Crowder Band is awesome for that too, whatever you like the best. I hope that helps. I pray blessings and increase on your life.

You are more normal than anyone I know. Do you know how many christians long for a more intimate relationship with the Lord? Probably less than you can count on your fingers. What people don't realize is that we need all of the Lord we can get and then some because in this world are many trials and tribulations and the ONLY one that can help us overcome is Jesus. So yes, find you a real bible teaching church that teaches more than preaches the truth about God and his word. And read and study your bible and pray pray pray. Your're well on your way. God is pleased with such people that hunger and seek after him.

The church of today seems to have largely overlooked Jesus's Great Commandment: "Go and make disciples." What you are seeking in the fulfillment of Christ's desires. Continue on knowing that there will be high points and low points in your journey. Also, never let your knowledge and spiritual understanding make you think you are special. We're just instruments and servants of the Lord.

Now, isn't it just normal for a Christian to feel, whatever they are feeling? Afterall, you are not just a Christian, you are also a human being. Be kind to yourself.

Yes. I think what you are experiencing is very normal. You're just wanting to grow as a Christian. That is a normal desire!

To not have such a desire would not be good, the grasses want to grow, the trees want to grow, and this desire cannot be denied.

Lol. Yes thank you Jesus for your desire. This should be normal for every christian to have a desire a longing to know more and more of God. So many get distracted or only think they need to get saved and then wait till they die and go to heaven. If God just wanted us in heaven he would take us up now. We have so much more to do with Jesus down on this earth. So much more to discover. Im not a new christian, but let me tell you i am so much more hungry for the things of God than i ever was. We are never supposed to be satisfied. That's the key, you got it, we are supposed to excited by God. He is amazing we know so little of His greatness. We are called to be more than conquerers. We need so much more of Him. Rock on with the Lord!!!

I would say that it is a healthy desire, though you should try you best to be realistic about the level of connectivity you are trying to achieve because to not be satisfied is to be discontented, and that is not a happy way to live. It is most important to live happily I believe because that is the best way to create a positive feeling in the people around you, giving them the inspiration they need to act out the perfect morality, along with it doing the same for you. The happier you are, the closer you are to God, and vice-versa.

If anything, I would say that this is the *correct* state to be in, at all times. There is no "end of the journey" in this life; occasionally there may be a plateau where you can rest for a bit, but spiritual satisfaction should always be sought after and never quite achieved.

Of course. That is the whole purpose of a relationship with Jesus. We are supposed to strive to become more and more like him every day. There isn't a point where you can just stop and not grow anymore. There is always something that needs work in our lives. So to answer your question, be glad that you are asking yourself that. Every single christian will ask themselves that.

It is normal to feel that way, because if we view ourselves in comparison to Jesus, to the deeds of the Saints and Martyrs, we do not come close enough to even be worthy of touching the hem of His cloak. BUT! Jesus coming as one of us, gave us the Truth that we indeed are worthy to be His brothers/sisters, children of God. I believe that all of us are here for a purpose and that each one touch each other's lives (even in the slightest bit) to make this world a better place. I think you just need to find your purpose then you'll be more than satisfied.

Remember, the relationship with God is also experienced with the relationship we have with the people around us, because God dwells in each of us.
