You can bless all the water you want. Like asking a blessing before a meal, the water would be then sanctified for your body.

Saying "God bless you" at a sneeze isn't blessing a soul as it "escapes(?)" through the nose.

Sneezes are called "petite morts", French for "little death." The French coined the term because it was believed that your heart skips a beat when you sneeze.

A person's soul does not escape during a sneeze.

Where do you get your information? The "Soul escapes thru the nose"??? Come on!!! It's a tradition to bless someone when they sneeze and has nothing to do with your "soul escaping" If you want to sound real cute and make fun of religion, as you are doing with these type of questions, why don't you, just for fun, read and STUDY the Bible? Then, you might really learn something.

That's not why people say Bless You. It's because the heart actually skips a beat when you sneeze. They say bless you because it didn't stop for good. The soul doesn't try to escape.

To make holy water you need to have a priest bless it.

In the Catholic church (I am not sure about others) holy water is used all the time. It is used to bless the congregation and is usually available to bless yourself before you enter the church. So yes, water can be blessed and is called holy water.

It says in the Bible (sorry can't quote verse) that faith will give us the power to perform miracles. So - sure we can bless water; I bless my food.

I don't think they are blessing the soul, I think they are blessing the gunk expelled from your nose and mouth while you sneeze.
