Christmas, because it is the celebration of Christ's birth.
New Years shouldn't be passed over though..that is the time that we can all wipe the slate clean and start over with the hope of making the upcoming year a better one.

I think New Years because what ever happened in the past year you let it go and get really optimistic about your future.
