I know all religions (or lack thereof) have people who listen to all different kinds of music. I'm interested to know what the R&S community here listens to. Please list your religion (or lack thereof), what types of music you like, and maybe a couple bands/artists that you'd call your favorites.

I'm Dutch, I don't live in the USA. I see all these questions and answers on here about Christmas greetings and the rants about them.

Anybody willing to explain it me? Is it really true that people in the USA care about who celebrates Christmas, who uses 'Happy Holidays' instead of 'Merry Christmas' and vice versa?

Do you at least realize how blessed/marry/happy your live is if you can argue about such trivial nonsense?

What would be the best gift that you could receive from the following religions/nonreligions: Christianity, Atheism, Agnosticism, Wicca, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Bhuddism, Spiritualism, Pagan, or any others that I have not mentioned? Feel free to answer for each of these religions, or just a few if you'd like. The gift can be either regarding the religion or the followers.

the most merciful and benevolent Allah (God) was not there some 1500 or 1600 years ago, that is when Islam was not born? If he were there then, whose God he was: to non-muslims too?. Finally can't we say that GOD is one for all religions? no matter by whatever name we may call him!

Okay, he wore sandals, (but no grey shin length socks), had free flowing long hair a beard, loose fitting clothes, preached love and peace, liked the odd vino, gave a few concerts to packed natural audatoriums.... So, was Jesus the first Hippy... or was John Lennon the reincarnate Jesus?

And before anyone libels me... or quotes numerous apostles, canons, psalms, verses etc,(Unless its from 'Imagine')... please think very carefully about the question before answering.

Why dont people just read about this great religion? why dont they educate themselves with the truth and facts before attacking it?
Believe it or not terrorisom is not part of Islam, these people took up the name of my religion only to turn it into a nightmare for there own personal gain,Islam fights terrorism. It is very important that you people know the difference between Islam and terrorism.
Islam is a faith,terrorism has no religion,no faith,no God.
Islam is all about tolerance and forgiving.
May God guide you to the truth and bless you.
Peace.

I am a jail minister and find myself often in court rooms with inmates I have worked with. I see parents defending their children with no respect for authority.Recently a mother, mad at a police officer who had wrote her son a speeding ticket claiming that the old truck he was driving could not possibly go that fast.I had seen this boy in jail bragging how fast he could drive. All she accomplished that day was to teach her son to lie to authority. And yet they want their children to respect them.I am not talking about the court room only, I am talking about the respect due in the home, church, school, and goverment, etc.. What can we do to help our children ?

I don't think the Bible ever personally addresses "lesbianism"
( female homosexuality). Do you think this is one reason that "lesbianism" (female homosexuality) is much more accepted then "Gays"
(male homosexuality) in the American culture? As the Bible has had a profound influence on the way a lot of people view things...what do you think?
