...on Christmas gifts this year? I just finished my shopping and it came to about $100. By the time the cards and wrapping paper are bought, I'm expecting $200, and that includes an incidental gift or two.

I spent about 500 on my husband, but that is going to be divided between Christmas, and his birthday which is 12/29.

I spent about 75 on my dad and stepmom combined.

We will send $100 to mother in law, and probably about $25 to our sisters and brothers each (5 of them).

Our daughter is 10 months old, so I don't think we will be spending more than $20 on her this year.

So, xmas alone, $600.

You did very good. Our budget is low but our gift list full. We have large families and lots of friends. Christmas is fun when you can spend on those you love. I can't do that this year. They will just need to understand & love me all the same.

We are buying for immediate family only. The limit is $10 to $20 plus Christmas Dinner, etc. Christmas parties are in there too.

anyone giving in to all this television commercials c r a p
and doing what they want you to do, go deep into debt and spend, spend until you have no money then use your credit cards to buy things no one needs, give me a break, Christmas is not about this at all, where has this country gone, it has gone the way of the minority people coming from other countries tell us Americans not to celebrate our history and our Christmas, that's what is happening in the USA
everyone should boycott the stores, but no one has any balls to do this
the Americans will give in to all the others who are going to take over our country very very soon

it doesn't matter what you spend. i have 8 children and 3 nieces and nephews. christmas should be about family friends food and God not necessarily in that order. the holidays are so much more enjoyable with out the constant stress of can i pay my bills or what bill will i skip this month. enjoy the lights the tree and the season

$200, sounds like a good number, however with 3 kids and other gifts, hard to keep that number.
