Ok, as some know, I am a Druid, and that I celebrate the holiday of Yule instead of Christmas. I have a couple of family members who have been asking what I want for Christmas. How should I answer them without offending them?

I just answered a question about the end of the world, what are the signs. Someone said that an antichrist will be born.

Have you been forced to say "Happy Holidays?" Either 1. at work, or 2. In public while on your own time? (Not representing your employer.)

Also, Have you been told that you can not have a Nativity scene on your property?

I see a lot of responders to the "Happy Holidays" questions saying that they are offended by not being able to express their personal beliefs. I was just wondering how often people are actually forced to hide their faith.

It says tattoos and eating pork or shellfish are sins. That's ridiculous in this day and age. I keep hearing "oh, they were sins back then but not any more" and "those were from the Old Testaments so they're invalid." If they were wrong about pork and shellfish, couldn't they be wrong about a lot of other things? A lot of people still abide by Leviticus.

Once and again I see native speakers mistaking "you're" for "your" and vice-versa, and I don't undestand why. At English courses - at least in Brazil -, we're taught that "you're" and "your" have a different pronounciation. But after seeing so many native speakers mistaking one word for the other, I guess they must sound the same. Am I right?

I was watching a documentary on illegal drug use. In it they stated that the pleasurable feeling that one got from drugs like herion or meth was many times greater than anything that someone could humanly expereince. They showed brain scans to prove this. On interviewing people, they said that after having expereinced this ultimate high nothing else could compare. A star athlete said his biggest accomplishment of winning a State title, was nothing in comparision. Another guy said the birth of his daughter felt boring. Other people neglected food, sex, hobbies, etc........all after experiencing powerful drugs like opiates and meth.

So is it true, do drugs offer the ultimate sensation possible??? If this is true how can you fight such an incredible temptation?

Anyway, what I was saying tied up in a not, men are a lot more pickier than women when it comes to dating. I put black men(in general) on the spot, because I'm a black women. Some white friends of mine feel the same way about white men, that they sometimes can't stand dating there own women, that they go after other race of girls, and in their situation, it's for someone stronger. In ours(black women) black men go for what they think is weaker. I just know from experience, and again, I"m not saying everyone is like that. But everyone can give there opinions from the last thread!
