So let's say that all life before the flood was giant because it lived long (giant humans and lizards that you would think were dragons, hehehe). Then after the flood the oxygen is not as thick and the dinosaurs just couldn't get enough oxygen to their big bodies (they got small ribcages and nostrils anyway). So they died out...

NOT! let's just say the flying spaghetti monster slaughtered them...

I had 4 years of spanish in high school/college, and did very well. However, other than short burst of basic conversation snippets, I have not spoken/read/wrote it in almost 7 years now. I would like to refresh my knowledge (without spending a boatload of money) but I also want to be efficient and accurate in my studies. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have been wondering if god approves bc pills, etc. I am a christian, I know that abortion is a sin, but what about bc? I read on a web site that while on the pills an egg can actually fertilize, but before it attaches to the uterus and grow it is expelled during mensturation. Do you think it is o.k. to take it? Will god be mad?

SCENARIO 1:
An innocent Amazonian young tribal boy, who has never had contact with the outside world is on his way back from picking fruits by the creek when he is attacked by a leopard and killed. does he go to hell because he never accepted jesus into his heart?

SCENARIO 2:

I heard on the radio today that egg-laying hens are killed in a variety of horible-sounding ways after they are too old to lay eggs. I have been buying cage-free eggs for a while, hoping that the hens that lay these eggs are happier than regular hens. Does anyone know if their "retirement" is any better than average?

I don't mean to offend anyone here, but I have noticed that their is a tendancy among some of the Christian user to record "Thumbs down" or to "Report abuse" when anyone offers an opinion contary to their belifs. I am not making a sweeping generalistaion and dpn't mean to offend (plesae don't get me suspended again). I would just like to know why this is; do you not believe in freedom of speach? Are you beliefs incapable of surving scrutiny or ridicule? Whay are some Christains so sensitive?

A prime example is that I just asked the following question...

How come the best answer doesn't always get chosen by the person asking the question? I went on to say I have a few theories as to why, etc... wouldn't that be a clue enough for those answering that i was not asking about the amount of days it takes before it goes into voting, or anything about VOTING...

And most of the one who misunderstood the question were women... not all... but most...

So they ended up answering the question with things to do with when it goes to a vote, etc...

Are they reading the entire question?

or are there heads just wired differently...

Mostly it was the women who misunderstood the question, but couple of women did understand it very well...

I believe that some people are just natural FOLLOWERS, especially women, who even if they like a guy alot, it takes one girl in the group to tell her the guy's no good, and it's over for the guy...

I am a grad student and TA in a math dept, a couple of months ago the dept moved me into this 6ft by 5ft office 3 floors underground with no window(of course). at first i would have to rush out every 60mins for some air, i would find it impossible to live with the persistent electric hum down there. but today i suddenly realized: i earn less than the lowest paid staff, most people even argue that i do not work at all, dont contribute to society which makes me a parasite, i spend approx 16 hrs a day in a 6by5 room and leave with a sense of having stolen from the world at 2am every night, and i sleep on the floor (i refuse to buy old furniture). my overall worth is negative, because people think i am actually cheating society by asking for free tuition. i think i have sunk to the lowest level of existence. the question is: is it possible to ever rise again? or is this my fate.

I've been rased in a Christian home and I've been trying to create a Christian home myself.
I am so tired and just don't think i can feel like this anymore and nothing looks like it's ever going to get better.
I can't get a good nights sleep and it's probably a matter of a few day's before I'm on the street without my family or anything to show for my worhless life. I know that sounds pethetic but after a few day's of standing around waiting on someone that does not really care and is abandening you.
I just want to stop the world and fade away. What do you think. Is ther nothing after you die? Is it just what you believe happens, that happens?
