What would be a a good birthday present for my older brother who is turning 20? We are really close and get along well, so i wanted to get something suprising.

How about two tickets to something really special? If he likes athletics, you could get him two tickets to a special game event. If he likes to eat great food, you could give him a gift certificate for two to a fantastic restaurant. Also consider tickets to concerts, museums, a hot air balloon rides, or the theater, depending on his interests.
Once you get the tickets, wrap them in a little box. Then put that box in a bigger box and wrap it nicely. Continue this until you have about five boxes, all wrapped attractively. They're fun to unwrap. You could indicate that the tickets are for both of you or for him and a good friend.

Well, if you can afford it you could try a satellite radio unless he already has one in which case, I'd probably consider getting a gift pack of auto supply such as car wax, leather protectant, tire shine, etc. and maybe a gas gift card.
