There are 3 heaven and earth ages, same heaven and earth but different ages.
II Pet.3:5-7 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
……………………………………….
THE WORLD THAT THEN WAS
Gen.1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
To that earth age the world that then was, belongs all fossils and remains. Scientific estimates or guesses; universe or heavens 20 billion years old, earth 4.6 billion years old, moon 200 to 300 million years younger than earth, dinosaur extinction 65 million years ago, Ice Age 2.5 million years ago.
………………………………………………………………
BEING OVERFLOWED WITH WATER PERISHED
Gen.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
AND THE EARTH WAS
The word “was” (hayah) in Hebrew, was not distinguished by the Revisers, that is the verb “to be” from “to become”. The same Hebrew word “hayah” is translated “became” in Gen.2:7.
AND THE EARTH BECAME
WITHOUT FORM H8414 tohu (to'-hoo) From an unused root meaning to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), that is, desert; figuratively a worthless thing; adverbially in vain: - confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness.
VOID H922 bohu (bo'-hoo) From an unused root (meaning to be empty); a vacuity, that is, (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin: - emptiness, void.
AND THE EARTH BECAME DESOLATE AND EMPTY
Earth was not created that way but became desolate and empty due to Satan’s rebellion. A global overflowing of water, but not Noah’s deluge. Darkness was upon the (face) of the deep, in other words the whole earth.
Into this we can read; dinosaur extinction, destruction of Atlantis, breakup of Gondwana Land, and the Ice Age.
………………………………………………………………………...
BUT THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH WHICH ARE NOW
Gen.1:2 And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen.1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
About 63 A.D. Peter writes, the heavens and the earth which are now. The heaven and earth age we are in now, today.
BY THE SAME WORD ARE KEPT IN STORE
RESERVED UNTO FIRE
AGAINST THE DAY OF JUDGMENT
AND PERDITION OF UNGODLY MEN
PERDITION G684 apoleia (ap-o'-li-a) From a presumed derivative of G622; ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal): - damnable (-nation), destruction, die, perdition, X perish, pernicious ways, waste.
Some will perish eternally and not see the third heaven and earth age.

The KJV was translated into English in 1611.
The bible doesn't speak of Dinosaurs because the term wasn't invented until 1841 by Richard Owen.
The Hebrew word for Dinosaur is (Tanniyn) means marine or land monster.
The KJV translates that word as Dragon.
Behemoth--Job 40
Leviathan--Job 41
Land Dragon--Isaiah 43:20, Jeremiah 14:6
Sea Dragon--Psalm 74:13, Isaiah 27:1
Air--(flying serpeant) Isaiah 30:6
if any of you know what a dinosaur is, it sure sounds like the Leviathian described in the book of Job and other scriptures.
Now the subject of the flood always comes up.
Well first of all it had to encompase the whole earth, if it didn't then an ark would never have been necessary, Noah and his family could have simply walked to the dry lands.
How did Noah get all the dinosaurs? Well I say, and I have no scripture to back this up. But if it were me, I would have gotten young dinosaurs for my ark. Dinosaurs haven't always been big, when they were born they were maybe the size of a dog, (makes sense doesn't it). Now of course they aren't as big due to the fact they don't live as long.
Reptiles never stop growing their entire life, so the longer they live the bigger they get.
And it makes sense that Noah would have smaller, younger dinosaurs on his ark.
Hope this helps.
Oh and very good penny mae on the creation/day scripture.

It is possible that humans could have messed with genetics of large herbivore species that God created since before the flood they were extremely intelligent due to their huge lifespans. Why don't we call alligators dinosaurs? It seems like any large reptile would qualify. Job also describes a sauropod type animal. It is possible they became extinct due to human interference. Some dinosaurs may have gotten smaller due to the different atmospheric conditions after the flood as well. But I am just speculating. Noone really knows.

As an engineer by education, I can't say I have never wondered the same thing. But I will say that I am a "believer" before anything else. Sofar I have not seen or heard anything that says the dinasours did not die from drowning during the flood; (Noah's Ark). Anytime I ever have a doubtfull feeling of biblical readings, I think of the following: "The teachings of Jesus were so complicatied that even the desciples had trouble comprehending there meanings". All we have to go by today is what is written.

Only a small number of Christians worldwide believe in the bible literally and that has always been true throughout Christian history. According to a literal view of scriptures, there could not possibly be any dinosaurs, they could not exist because that would imply death existed before man existed and the Garden of Eden story is false and therefore Jesus' sacrifice is meaningless.
However there are many other understandings of the story and always have been. I suggest you change churches instead of fretting over dinosaurs. Go to a church that reads something other than the bible. The idea that the bible contains all truth is only five hundred years old and only used by about one quarter of Christians. Early Christians who knew the apostles and were trained by them actually wrote against such an idea.
I suggest going to one of the old Churches and asking what God wants of you. Otherwise, you will be like many fundamentalists, you will realize the ideas make no sense and instead of going to a Church that does make sense, you may become athiest.

well, the dinosaurs are animals, so they were created when the animals were created. i would get confused too cuz people say the dinosaurs were here millions of years before us. but the thing is, we don't know God's time. a day to us could have been a year to God. you never know. great question! bye!

the bible happens to be just a story it is not true. The only thing that is true is that he created the universe and everything in it. He also gave each planet living animals (dinosaurs, microorganisms). He did this to see how far it could grow and become worth something. Than after not seeing any change he wipe out the (dinosaurs, microorganisms) and created us. He sent down angels to tell us about him and that by just knowing he is there and praying was enough. He told us not to follow men that wanted us to believe they were His son for no man could be as great as him. People that just believe and not worship a book or a man are welcome in heaven. God is the only one who knows if you are his true believers.

i will see that you've finished a touch bit "wondering." Very commendable ! yet i do not realize your motivation for asking "IS IT alright to no longer belong and so on.....?" Is it that you're feeling the quantity of wondering you've finished is adequate in the meanwhile ? And now that you're finished you need some sensible feedback ? A pat on the decrease back ? someone to provide you reassurance, and to inform you that "that's ok" ? properly, right that's a touch bit information for you. Judgment Day will be might want to 21, 2011. Do you comprehend what which ability ? Are you pleased with God ? to three volume ?

Why would the dinosaurs be any different than us? If God created everything, nothing exists that can't be explained. Only creationists think different.

Islam, and Judaism believe the creation story is a myth, a way of trying to simplify EXTREMELY complex things. It isn't really all that important, and isn't really meant to be taken literally. Christanity (those who take a literal view) will either have to imagine that G-d just didn't feel like mentioning the large lizards because they weren't important to what He was trying to get across, or that science is wrong.
