Yes in prayer, never a visible experience, but I have been pretty angry and told HIM I want to see him. Then I get an awakening from something that happens that's more then coincidence, dream,a call from a friend who speaks directly about what I was struggling with.I see a person who ministers to something deep within me,that only God knows of.I think to see God one must die,but I know and have heard of many who have seen Jesus.Although sometimes with my children,I get a real sense of Gods tangible presence.I cant wait to see him face to face.

I once had glimpse-like experiences - didn;t think it was possible (especially because I was atheistic). People who say they experience him every day in their lives based on their prayers and beliefs don't know what the real experience is like. While I don't know either, I did glimpse the unconditional love and complete lack of judgement and this whole feeling that we are never alone. It's hard to describe but it only came when I got my ego out of the way -- and there's no hell, no sin, no guilt, no judgement -- just a love that is ALWAYS there but is not accessible because, deep down, we don't want it because we think it means the end of our individual will. When I continued practicing, I came close to the dropping away of the self and I was excited but was too chicken to continue :).
By the way, people in all religions and no religion have had the experience. In Christianity, Meister Eckhart, St. John of the Cross. In Sufism, Rumi. In Zen, the historical Buddha, Dogen (read '3 Pillars of Zen' for more info).
Note: I've met MANY people who were CONVINCED they had an experience of God but their egos were so much in charge (and they were looking for this to be some form of spiritual specialness) that they were completely deluded. There are MANY of those so ... be wary. Anyone who claims spiritual specialness or goes around and talks about it alot probably didn't have it.

Only those who have also had a direct experience with ETs, ghosts, leprechauns and yetis.
They need to be attended by a personal nurse at all times.

No one has ever had a direct experience with god, as god is imaginary.
Anyone who says they have, is suffering from a delusion and should seek help or education.
