The turkey was crisp, hot and had a tangy zest flavor. We ate rice with white beans (grown in the backyard), which was moist, but not wet with an aroma of fresh cilantro, pepper and cooked ham. The yam was firm, but not hard. The rich butter flavor and the moist yam was mouth watering. The stuffing was made of soft, boiled mashed plantains with a meat mixture of sausage, ground pork, and ground ham. It had a hint of cumin, pepper, salt, garlic, cilantro, and parsley. The odor hightened everyone hunger and made us desperate to dig in. This was our Thanksgiving meal in Puerto Rico.
