How offencive is this? It's a saying that has been used for centurys by Americans...and yet, it is only recently people have been complaining about it. Why?

Okay, my boyfriend and I have been dating for 5 months, we live together and I've never bought presents for a guy before, any guy period... He rides a motorcycle, has s 300zx (car), and loves working on them, in our time together we play video games, watch movies or go on long walks, unless we go out. He's 21 and I am totally clueless of what to get him, I have about a 200 dollar spending limit because of other circumstances that just recently came up and I really would like to get him something special... any ideas?

know that white is not a true race and neither is black. There are different types of races within the color white, and the same goes with the color black. White and Black that not races, they are just colors within races. Explain to me why that is always misunderstood.Answer if you like and if you don't, do not. are so prejudice against the americans. I mean really! I've heard a lot of bad talk on these boards lately, and it's stupid. Once I was even out on the streets of london and I heard a man making fun of america, so I asked him if he had ever even been there. He blushed rather heavily and said no. We shouldn't judge our opinions on Americans just because we see one or two rude ones. I travel there a lot, and I find them to be very polite. Now I'm not saying I hate britians. Hell, I'm one of them, and I am very patriotic, so I don't think it represents us very well when I see about 50 boards a day posted by people in the UK saying North America sucks. Anyone agree?

i was brought up to believe it was extremely bad manners to say the least when one yawned or coughed in public with their mouths open. i find that these days with careless abandon, everyone seems to just do it. open theie mouth irrespective of where they are and the odours they emit, they just open their mouths and yawn. what happened to being socially respectful or social etiquette. this is appalling. terribly!

I don't understand why so many Americans are agaisnt Mexican illegals crossing over and trying to make a better life...
1. I have never seen a Mexican in a corner begging for money, they rather wash dishes or mow a yard than to beg like I've seen many Americans do.
2. Why do Americans always go to " MEXICO " to vacation if they dislike us???

Ok, before going to sleep, no scary movies, no horror stories, nothing of that kind that would make me paranoid and think about scary stuff and so influence a bad dream, So I have no idea where this nightmare came from. Anyway, this is what happened. Me, my parents, and my little sis were all in our white mini van, and we stopped at this gas-station, that was away from any city or busy-like town. It was on a hill, and their was an even bigger hill nearby with a house on top. It was night, and there weren't any stars and not much of a moon, so it was REALLY dark. So while dad is putting gas in the van and everything, i decide to get out of the van and start talking to some lady. The lady told me that at that house we could see a woman was murdered, her head was practicully hacked off, and the murdurer is not only NOT caught, but it's thought that he's STILL in the area. So i'm creeped out and go back to the van, but when i open the sliding door the guy/murdurer grabs me from behind

This is a new one for me; I'm at a loss.

There isn't really an objection to the people or presents involved; just something about how opening presents in front of the giver sets things up so it's not about true giving, etc; there's an expectation of a happy reaction, etc, which diminishes, and...

Do you dislike communal family present-openings? Pray explain if so.

If you think opening presents is best as a group activity, see if you can offer something to help explain why it's good...?

Were there young children and babies that died in this flood? You see, this is one of the few things that makes me want to believe that this is just a moral story meant to teach people how to act, as opposed to being fact. If the flood really did happen, surely there WOULD have been young children and infants that died. Surely a powerful God would have higher reasoning than I do, but I really can't fathom much justification in this. Maybe everyone else was evil, but those kids and babies wouldn't have had a chance to sin yet.

Once again, I'm not saying that the flood didn't happen, and I'm not saying it did happen. Also, I'm not trying to be blasphemous or antagonistic to anyone. And I'm not looking to bash anyone's belief systems. I'm just looking for honest, serious answers.

My friends are catholic and they always say they hate how they feel when someone tells them if you dont donate your going to hell or they are frowned upon if they dont dontate that much money!how do yall feel about this? should you be frowned upon for not giving money to the church and if you do but to them its not enough how would you feel?

and what is the reason u think you may end up like this in your life ? is it because you do not go to school{do your homework when your a kid} or do not go to college cause you think school is stupid or to much gambling or being lazy or to much alcohol spend a lot of money in sluts and whore ,failure in business, not praying to god or maybe do not believed in god and going to church or whatever your reason you think you may end up being a bum.or poor,homeless ,unemployed.....beggar.....
