Everytime I see a question on here pertaining to religion, either pro or against it, someone inevitably writes an extended reply about how ignorant they are. Athiests talk about how the religious are brainwashed, and the religious go into a rant on the athiests going to hell. Is it really that hard to allow others to believe what they believe without condemning them?

I saw someone reply to another post saying he was a devout unitarian.

Is that possible? Seems like some kind of contradiction to me.

I haven't been able to find a description of one on the net. I haven't been able to find any articles about the achievement.

I mean, we've figured out what happened, all the way back to the big bang, and we've figured out that the cycle just repeats, right? And we've figured out how evolution works. So someone must have created a computer simulation, or at least a description of what it would be like. There must have been big news about it. It must be so cool.

Can anyone please direct me to the webpage? Thanks.

Well, I am in an interracial relationship, and we have three kids together, but I live in the south. Better yet, I live in Mississippi around Neshoba county, so it's like people around here tell us that we are going to hell and stuff like that. I have gotten over the fact that they talk about us as adults, but I'm terrified of what my children will have to go through as they get older.

I think it would be kind of interesting to live in a world where neither female nor male had dominance in sexual attraction.

Ephesians 5:4
Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. (NIV)

the cross? What if it were somehow proven beyond a shdow of a doubt that he survived...maybe someone bribed the roman soldiers to let him down and let him go. whatever. What if you found out he was completely mortal and you have beleived a lie all along. Or what if a space ship landed and he gets out and says "I'm Jesus I'm from the planet@#!@#!@$## and I've returned to tell the truth." In any case what if it was all proven to be a lie? AND NO FALLING BACK ON YOUR FAITH AND SAYING THAT YOU KNOW ITS THE TRUTH becuase you don't know thats why they call it FAITH. this is hypothetical and rhetorical

I'm new to Christianity and I had a few questions. My mom says that I'm not allowed to swear (I can see that...), eat chocolate, drink alcohol or anything with caffiene, and I can't watch horror movies or listen to my rock music!! She's Catholic... and I am not... I go to a non-dem. church. Is she just missing with me? Or is she serious?

This is small minded. We really need to think out of the box to answer this question. The universe is either going to collapse into an unimaginable mass or it will coalesce into many large masses. This is fact. In a matter of time (a large amount of it) there will be no human compatible place to live. Does that not contradict intelligent design?

A friend told me since the Arab household usually has different families (cousins, brothers, grandparents) living in one roof, then you diminish the chances of infidelity by covering the women up and somehow it became standard practice even after the household consists of one couple.

Or a one day trip back in time to witness any single person, place or event?

1) You'd be safe no matter where you went.
1) People would know your trip was real but could not ask you about it.
3) You could not divulge what you learn (ie. discovering if Jesus was real, who shot JFK, what killed the dinosaurs, how the universe started)

The knowledge would be yours, and yours alone. Is it worth $100 million?

I am a Christian man who was recently engaged to a wonderful missionary woman. She and I both believed God had brought us together, but when I asked for her father's permission to marry his daughter, he denied it. I gave my word that I would respect his wishes, but I honestly never expected this.
I came from a very bad background. My family was disfunctional and abusive, I grew up on the streets, and spent nearly 15 years in prison. I can certainly understand why any man would be apprehensive about me marrying his daughter, but I am now a Christian, I've been called to be a minister, and he is a minister himself; I thought he would atleast want to get to know me and let God lead him in his decision. But instead, he just closed the door without even speaking to his daughter about it first. I cannot help but feel he is judging me and I don't know what to do. I am a man of my word and I ended the relationship as promised. But I feel there has to be something else I could do.
