Yes, because they can potentially be terrorists. Is not that they dont embrace western culture but actively seek to destroy it. Take for instance France and England, where they are not allowed to display religious symbols in fear of offending the Muslims.

To the person who said this:
"If they are Iranians living in the west, they aren't Americanized. True Americans say they are so, not Iranians or Iraqis or Turks or Lebanese living in America. Their loyalty is to their home country, so, no, they can't be trusted."
If you were to live in France right now...wouldn't you feel loyal to America? So would you not be trusted then? It's normal to feel loyal to where you're from, dummy...it doesn't mean you can't like where you're living at the same time.

If you can't trust someone just because of their race, then that's racist. There's people you can't trust, but that's because of their character...not their ethnicity.

I don't trust you (brian) or julio cesar because you guys are both narrow minded xenophobes who truly believe their own brainwashing. People like those 2 guys are the source of intolerance, dysfunction, and ultimately violence on this planet.

After hearing the two of you speaking - my guard would be up and i would try not to spend anytime w/ you guys as likely it would eventually end badly.

Which leads me to wonder are either of you middle eastern?

ANYONE can be untrust worthy I have Arabs in my family, and of course they are trust worthy and I'm not just saying that because they are family it's the truth. I don't think you should be generalizing people just because of race.

This is what social scientists refer to as "mass paranoia," "essentializing" and "ignorant scapegoating."
