Hi

I started joining Christian Explored, in singapore recently.

Too i started read the bible lately starting from the first page.

And i read staff like :
"Killing of all first Born..."
"Chop off my hand if my hand had sinned..."
"perform rediculous holocaust offering to please god"
"Those who dont believe in him will go to hell, no matter how many good deeds we have done"

Is there any one kind enough to explains all this doing of god to me?

Hopefully someone that knows the Bible very well.

I have sorted help else where , but they do is just tell me to believe!
But my Question are still unsolved!

Many just answer base on their assupmtion and their own believe.

Ok that guy who played Kramer on Seinfield (the one who made those comments) and appolgised). Im not a racist or anything, its just Im confused. Howcome when a black person says "nigar" and stuff its ok but when a white person say it it becomes a huge mess. I personally dont like the word I think its rude and derogitory and I think no one should use it (black or white) and I wouldnt want to be friends with anyone who says that word or others like it. I was just curious.

I know every generation thought that, but I believe we have more reason to believe he will come back in this life time than any generation. Remember 1000 years on this earth is like 1 day in Heaven as God is outside time.. Also have you read 23 minutes in Hell by a guy called Bill Weise, and what did you think of it. He described the horrors of Hell, and it sounded worse that the bible described it. It was an interesting book. I suggest you read it, as there is truth to it. Also have you read Marry K Baxter's book"Divine revelation of Hell". I found it very scary, but true. I guess this is a wake up call for the last days generation.

Why do all christians belive athiesm and those belonging to the church of satan are evil? Those that say it are uninformed. Those belonging to the church of satan do not belive in the murder of animals and children to bring foth demonic eras, they beleive lust and glutony are not ins but are natural feelings and should be treated as so. Also many christains and catholics will say mormons are liars or satan worshipers. While many people belive that chritians are idiots for wasting their time giving thanks to a non-existant being that did not help you obtain what you have today. And scientologists are not a scary cult. What is wrong with people today and the only real reason for religion any more is to try and push similer belifs upon those who think differently and to alientate those of different religions and it has become a poularity contest to see who can obtain, hold, and satisfy members the best. OPEN TO DISCUSSION!!!!

This one is for all peoples, especially those of an institutional religious faith. Al the major religions, Christianity, Islam, Judaism which preach the idea of an Anti-God(satan) whatever the label thrown at it, also teach that God, Allah, Yahweh lets say Life is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, the all in all, Alpha and Omega, therefore there is nothing that exists which is not God,Allah.Yahweh. Meaning if the Devil exists then it is also God as it is a part of God for God is everything. This also applies to those "infidels" which we would kill in God, Allah or Yahwehs' name. Every time we take a life we are attacking a part of the very Deity we say we worship and serve. For if this is not true then God,Allah or Yahweh are not everything and everywhere and people worship a much lesser God than is preached to them. And this is not a criticism mearly a point I would like some of you to truly contemplate and reflect back on please..

Earlier I asked a question about why the Old Testament God condones terrible sins. I was told it was untrue (actually, it is true), that I should read the Bible (I have), that the horror in the Bible is not literal truth (we'll why do so many preachers say it is?).

Why do so many religious people insist the world would be a better place if only we'd all live by the Bible, when it is full of a God demanding burnt human offerings (Genesis 22:1-18) God demanding whole civilizations be annihilated (Deuteronomy 13:13-19), that women be kidnapped and raped (Judges 21:10-24), that people stone people for collecting firewood on Sunday (yes he did, look it up), that parents kill their kids (Abraham and one other), that girls (but not boys) be strangled if not virgins on their wedding night (Deuteronomy 22:20-21), homosexuals should be killed (Romans 1:24-32) .

The list goes on, and on, and on ...

The Bible as an example of how we should live our lives today. You have got to be joking?
