I was just wondering, without causing any hate or anything like that, you guys pray towards Mecca, right?
Why? Don't you think God doesn't care where you pray, whichever way?
Just asking, i'm not seeking any trouble!
Thanks all
have a great day=)

Hi pleasantflower !!! Well its symbolic to pray towards mecca...for the unity of muslims....secondly Mecca is in the center and it is easy for all the muslims to face it and pray towards it......Well in the beggining muslims were confused to where way they should pray so to make it easy they are ordered to face the mecca...he realy doe't care but muslim of that time asked for specific direction for their ease. This is called unity of muslim that they pray in one direction.
Quran 2:144
"Indeed We see the turning of your face to heaven, so We shall surely turn you to a qiblah which you shall like; turn then your face towards the Sacred Mosque, and wherever you are, turn your face towards it, and those who have been given the Book most surely know that it is the truth from their Lord; and Allah is not at all heedless of what they do
have a nice day !!!

Kaaba is the Qibla i.e. the direction Muslims face during their prayers. It is important to note that though Muslims face the Kaaba during prayers, they do not worship the Kaaba. Muslims worship and bow to none but Allah.
1. Islam believes in fostering unity
For instance, if Muslims want to offer Salaah (Prayer), it is possible that some may wish to face north, while some may wish to face south. In order to unite Muslims in their worship of the One True God, Muslims, wherever they may be, are asked to face in only one direction i.e. towards the Kaaba. If some Muslims live towards the west of the Kaaba they face the east. Similarly if they live towards the east of the Kaaba they face the west.
2. Kaaba is at the Centre of the World Map
The Muslims were the first people to draw the map of the world. They drew the map with the south facing upwards and north downwards. The Kaaba was at the centre. Later, western cartographers drew the map upside down with the north facing upwards and south downwards. Yet, Alhamdullilah the Kaaba is at the centre of the world map.
3. Tawaaf around Kaaba for indicating one God
When the Muslims go to Masjid-e-Haram in Makkah, they perform tawaaf or circumambulation round the Kaaba. This act symbolizes the belief and worship of One God, since, just as every circle has one centre, so also there is only one Allah (swt) worthy of worship.

I am wonderful, thank you.
Please with all do respect free your mind. "you guys" what? Are there no women? "pray to mecca", "God"? knowledge is power and when you learn other languages, you notice a pattern of words which get changed but they mean the same thing. Something English is famous for. Think for yourself, question authority, if you believe in something you will be asked time and time again to prove it. Somethings you don't have a word to label it with, so often meanings are lost in translation. I suggest reading up on all religious beliefs before asking "why". Perhaps the word "why" will have no meaning at all.

Allah has no limitations, above all.
Allah is Unique.
Allah is alone.
Allah is the creator of Universes, and every living and non living things on universes.
Allah has no son, no daughter, no mother, and no father.
Allah is beyond all human attributes. He is not less then Allah.
Kaabah;, is the place where Prophet Adam and Eve met first time after they have been separated, when God Almighty accepted their repentance.
Kaabah: is the place where Prophet Abraham and His elder son Prophet Ismail(pbu on them) built place for worshipping Allah (The God Almighty).
Muslims can pray anywhere in universe. Keeping face towards is just to show unity and paying respect of place where Prophet Adam and Eve met first time on this earth, and in tradition of Prophet Abraham and his son, Prophet Ismail.
Kaabah: is the place where Last and final Prophet of Allah, Muhammad(pbuh) instructed us to keep our faces on God's will

i've got only complete analyzing a three-volume background of the crusades which shows that Christians and Muslims, West and East, have been combating with one yet another for no less than a million,500 years. i in my view think of we could all be plenty extra effective off if we got here upon some user-friendly floor and found out to stay with one yet another fairly than attempt to triumph over one yet another. yet to respond to your question, as a non-Muslim (i'm an atheist) I honestly have yet to take heed to or examine something sturdy (in my estimation) approximately Sharia regulation. Muslims, please tell me the way you experience approximately it.

The main theme in Islam is ONE. A one GOD.
A Muslim society should be united. Specifying a single direction for Muslims to pray to will be symbolic of that unity. A Muslim society should be a united homogeneous society who's members no-matter who they are or where they are, will unite in their prayers.
