I guess that would depend upon where i would be at the age of 95. If I had to spend 15 to 20 years in a nursing home when I didnt have much money I dont think I would choose that as many of the nursing homes that cater for people with little or no income are not places you would want to be. At least if I was rich and died early my kids would not want for anything.

I've hit 50 poor, so, there is no choice for me, but really, by the time most people get to age 95, they are poor because the government has taxed all they had away. My 80 year old parents have to pay income tax on their pension! And it comes from the govt.!

I am not sure...it depends on if I am a healthy person with no diseases, etc. Why live so long and be in misery or alone? Aching joints and in an old folks home where no one comes to visit? That would be awful! Healthy is a diff story... If so, 105. If not, then whatever the Lord would have for me is fine. I mean you cannot determine how long you will live, you can assist your health by eating right and exercise...hope and pray for the best. Death is inevitable and the world is going to hell in a hand basket anyway...I would hope things are not far worse in the future! Not to be pessimistic or anything, just being a realist.

Apparently I am in the minority when I say I'd rather live to be 95/poor than die at 50/rich.

If you have reasons to live that have nothing to do with money you prefer the longer life.
